DVD Review: Since when are Chinese knock-offs sold here?

If you look closely at the cover for this (and I hope all of you placing online order ALWAYS do this), it's obvious that this is some kind of chinese copy of this film that they've manufactured for all regions with NTSC so it plays in North American dvd players.
Now, if a film is hard enough to obtain, I have no qualms with getting it by whatever means necessary in order to see it (and that includes grey market sellers), but when it comes to "reputable" sites (like I'd like to believe Amaznn is), I expect them to abide by a slightly higher standard. And part of that is knowing I'm buying a product that at least has some resell value should I decide to resell it later.
In that regard, anyone who is actually considering paying $15.49 for this disc (it's price as of date of this review) and thinking this will hold it's value enough to get at least half their money back should they decide to resell it is sorely mistaken. Wait a few months and you'll be able to find this for a couple of bucks used on certain auction sites all over the web. As this was manufactured in Hong Kong, it has almost zero collectible value.

DVD manufactured in Hong Kong. Full screen color image. Original English dialog with optional subtitles in Chinese or English which can be turned off. On screen menus are in English and are easy to use. In 1984 lovely Cynthia carries on the romantic heritage of the Chatterly Estate. Her desire is to discover her perfect lover. She invites American anthropologist Arthur as her house guest but he is more interested in Lady Godiva's previous naked ride through the estate. Judith arrives at the estate to stop Cynthia's lustful ways but soon Judith discovers her own passion for the estate gardener Philip.
