DVD Review: Better than "The Secret"
Summary: 5 Stars
This video not only explains how we can change our lives by changing our thinking, but it also explains - in better detail than "The Secret" did, in my opinion - how manifesting works and how we can bring specific energies into our lives. You may need to watch it through more than once, but most of the real secrets to living a happy, loving, abundant and prosperous (in all ways) life are revealed here.
Plus a number rags-to-riches stories are told by the people who lived them, including Louise Hay, Doreen Virtue, Wayne Dyer, and others.
I recommend this video without qualification. Even those of us who are already living fully self-actuated, spiritually-centered, and empowered lives will find that this DVD reminds us of some important things to remember, plus it's a great video to show to clients and students.
Five stars!
DVD Review: Time in perspective...
Summary: 5 Stars
This is a very helpful and well presented DVD, which includes input from major figures such as Wayne Dyer, Gregg Braden, Doreen Virtue and Christiane Northrup.
I found the beginning a little irritating as the woman who was voicing her negative thoughts was mumbling so much that I missed a lot of what she was saying.
Having seen a number of these Self-Help, Positive Thinking programs, including Tony Robbins, I think the key factor that people need to develop in following positive/transformational courses of action is patience.
However much you work towards change, via your thinking and daily actions, it will not happen overnight. But even if something takes two years to come to full fruition and give you a significantly better life, it is clearly well worth the time, given that you may have thirty, forty, fifty or more years of life left ahead of you.
That's a pretty good ratio, and since you have to live those two years anyway, you may as well live them filled with hope, positive thinking and ACTION. That is where Tony Robbins excels... taking action as well as changing your thinking is everything, and Louise certainly undertands that herself.
This is a good introduction to Louise's work, and the woman is living proof of its worth. She is a tremendous presenter and her own life story is extremely inspirational.
DVD Review: Excellent content, questions on technical execution- no CC?

No qualms about recommending the wonderful content of this DVD, however, I was really hampered by the lack of closed captioning (??) available (or at least I couldn't get it to work on my system).
I found that the closed captioning would have been useful: while the audio quality of the interviews in the documentary were just fine, the narration by the female 'character' was so breathy /whispery /full of verbal 'tics & clicks' that I often couldn't make out what she was saying! That was frustrating, because I wanted to hear it, but often just fast-forwarded through 'her' sections to be able to keep a positive spirit while viewing the DVD.
The 'tics and clicks' lady would have been more tolerable if closed captioning were available. The lack of closed captioning on this DVD really surprises me, as I would think that Hay House would consider the needs of the hearing-impaired.
Still recommended!
DVD Review: The Heart of Holistic Empowerment
Summary: 5 Stars
Its difficult to say anything that hasn't already been said about Louise Hay and the work that she continues to do to this day. This video literally gets to the heart of what all holistic work strives to be, Self empowerment through the clarity of love and awareness.
The video is intertwined with a look into Louise Hays personal life journey, enlightening commentary from several prominent speakers in the field such as Dr. Wayne Dyer and Dr. Doreen Virtue (just to name 2), along with interesting background cinema depiction of the everyday soul navigating along her path.
Everyone that delves into the field of metaphysics encounters Hay in some form, i.e. her writings or her publishing house. Although I have to admit I didn't realize the depth of her work until I caught a glimpse of it through this video. In my humble opinion She is quite astounding as is her message and her work.
This video is well put together and entertaining with a great mix of metaphysical, scientific, woo woo and common sense ideas that drive the holistic community today.
I can honestly say that I felt good just watching it. So, it is definitely worth adding to your holistic DVD collection :)
DVD Review: WAKE UP THE HEALER FROM WITHIN
