DVD Reviews of Yoga in BedDVD Review: Great exercizes and production, but not a do-along-with Summary: 3 StarsI was hoping for a yoga routine I could do along with the leader in my small trailer. The routines and production are excellent, but you have to memorize the routines instead of just following along. They show you how to do them once but don't do the repetitions. I guess you could stop and start the video but that kind of gets you out of the mood. Not a useful DVD for my purposes
DVD Review: beginners yoga the easy way Summary: 4 StarsThis exercise video is very relaxing and removes the daily stress that accumulates in your body. Nice new age music. For beginners and those who really want to take it easy.
DVD Review: Yoga in Bed DVD Summary: 3 StarsThis DVD was less than I expected. The information is good, but they rush through it, not giving you time to do the poses as most Yoga DVD's do. Overall, I was disappointed.
DVD Review: Cozy Concept - Fatal Flaws Summary: 3 StarsYoga in Bed is a creative set of exercises for morning and evening. This could also be called "Yoga in Bed with your Teddy Bear." The exercises begin without an introduction and have creative names like Sunrise Stretch, Breakfast Bend and Alarm Clock Rock. This is truly yoga for the sensualist. Doing yoga in the soft comfort of your bed is relaxing and nourishing. I could feel myself relaxing into the shoulder circles and enjoying the gentle spinal twist. While you are doing the exercises you can incorporate pillows for support. If you are tall you may find three pillows are better than two. The relaxing music and pleasant narration makes you feel good while the "Breath of Fire" helps you feel invigorated and awake. Up to this point I was feeling relaxed until the "Coffee Cup Meditation" when the DVD suddenly stopped and went on to show me choices in the special features menu. After relocating the Coffee Meditation I then proceeded to finish the morning yoga segment. If you enjoy staying in bed a little longer in the morning then this helps you ease into the day.
The second set of exercises begins with a soothing scalp massage and then leads into calming breathing exercises. The creative posture names continue with a Winding Down Twist and then a back opener while you recline on pillows. I could have remained in the poses a lot longer and at times they seemed rushed. This was not as big a problem with the morning routine but seemed to be a problem, especially during the Upside Down Relaxation with your feet up against the wall. The evening routine is a good concept with a few fatal flaws. It seems that when I reached the "Chill Out Meditation" I couldn't chill out because again the DVD stopped and then went on to the special features section where I had to spend time relocating the final relaxation meditation.
While I wanted to give this four to five stars, I'm only giving it three stars due to the problems with the DVD stopping at both final relaxation stages. I also tried to forward the DVD at one point and it froze the screen. So truthfully I cannot recommend this to you if you don't want to go searching for the two final relaxation segments. I may have a faulty DVD but it seemed like too much of a coincidence to me when it stopped twice and the frequently asked question segment didn't appear after I selected it from the special features menu.

DVD Review: A FUN AND RELAXED YOGA, FOR BEGINNERS--SO GENTLE! Summary: 5 StarsFirst, this is a very EASY TO NAVIGATE DVD that lets you CHOOSE which exercise you want. Each mini session lasts no longer than 15 minutes, a plus when you are short on time! This Yoga in Bed DVD was purchased as an extra Yoga DVD. It is very relaxing and gentle and most of all FUN! It is wonderful for traveling, because all of the exercises can be done on the bed using pillows. Also, I find that it is very relaxing. This is NOT my main Yoga routine, I do this one at night for an EXTRA YOGA session. My regular ones are the Rodney Yee's series that I practice in the early morning. This is a wonderful program for a beginner that wishes to start with something GENTLE and SOOTHING or someone that does not wish to deal with having to buy a Yoga Mat, etc. Or someone like me who likes a gentle PM Yoga (after work) to wind down from the day. **As as added bonus, there is the extra section on the DVD that EXPLAINS each position throughly.
