DVD Review: I. LOVE. THIS. DVD!

I am the biggest skeptic and non-spiritual person you'll ever meet, but I fell in love with this DVD. I am 21 and have major depression and the whole slough of energy/motivation/fatigue/substance abuse/affective problems that comes with it. I decided to start doing yoga because other exercise programs have always failed to keep someone like me with so little motivation&energy motivated!
I have 3 yoga dvds now and this one is by far my favorite (and I'm about to by more from Ana & Ravi). If you're looking to get ripped or for a traditional yoga workout, don't get this. But if you're looking for a way to relax, lift your mood, energy and "spirits", while increasing tone and flexibility - this one is for you! The benefits begin immediately for both body & mind.
I made the choice to keep an open mind about the breathing and spiritual aspects and I am so glad I did. Now instead of popping pills all day I do hours of yoga....AND IT WORKS BETTER THAN ANY PILL. I feel like this DVD is helping me to break the cycle of my destructive lifestyle habits. WOW!!! Maybe I can begin to enjoy my youth with Kundalini yoga.
DVD Review: Help with everyday ailments

Ana and Ravi have done an amazing job with giving us a natural way to deal with our everyday issues. I am someone whom gets headaches often and I find when I do Headache Helper I feel so much better in such a short time.
I normally just hit play and go through the workout until I run out of time.
I only wish that it had the matrix menu like their other ones. No complaints though- I just love all their workouts and their caring nature.

Love it, Love it. I always feel great after doing any of the Ana/Brett DVD's!! This one I use often after other workouts because there are so many choices depending on the day. I highly recommend any of these DVD's for feeling great and strong and flexible. I've been doing for quite some time and have seen an incredible difference in my flexibility. I bought this after Yoga House Calls because I didn't think I didn't like the idea of a "quick fix" as much as I did preventative yoga. However, after a few months the sets and exercises sounded so different and fun that I ordered it anyway.
I enjoy this because it offers a slightly softer approach than House Calls- the sets are shorter and the warmup is gentler, including some of the movements from the spinal series (my *favorite*). One night, exhausted but still wanting to get a practice in, I chose Flexibility and Strength because it was short and prayed that it wouldn't be too strenuous. It was perfect- stretch and strength, and I got to stay on the floor.
Of course, they have the same meditations as on the other disk, and also a relaxation. However, the cues for the relaxation are a bit different, focusing more on allowing your body to heal than the very specific cues they give in House Calls to relax certain areas.
Another Ravi Ana DVD- how could I resist?

This is such a rich DVD. I want to memorize nearly all of it for use as needed. But it's a great workout, too. The meditations go deep. Ravi and Ana present health as common sense so that you want to do these exercises. The music and rhythm keep you going. They are gentle in their lifestyle suggestions so you don't feel pushed to do it their way, but supported in trying these excercises to see if they work.
