Discover the three seasons of "What's new Scooby-Doo" in this box set at a real bargain price.
These new adventures are very funny. The character design is so close to the first version of the TV series ("Scooby-Doo where are you?") that I love the new show at once. It is an excellent sequel.
Soundtrack is mostly nice but sometimes a little too hard rock to my liking but I can understand youngers will love it :-)
Humour is at its best. Scripts are original and sometimes take few concepts seen in the 1969-1972 episodes.
Voices in English and French are as close as possible to the original voices. But the French voice of Scooby-Doo is not the same (but still loveable).
By the way, is it possible to not love Scooby-Doo, frankly speaking? Scooby-Doo is the most loveable cartoon character I have seen in my life. Shaggy (Sammy in French) is its best friend.
Really, I spent a great time watching these DVD and I can only recommend them.
The best two episodes (frankly, they are all good in my opinion) are: "New Mexico, old monster" and "Gold paw"!
In "New Mexico, old monster", Scooby-Doo is in the Mystery car driving through the desert. Scooby sees a bird out of the window. In fact, the bird is just the famest classic Warner Bross cartoon character: The Road Runner.
Few milliseconds later, Scooby sees the hungriest classic Warner Bross cartoon character: Wile E. Coyote, still running after The Road Runner with its still empty stomach and a huge rocket on its back...
No more comments just because the next few milliseconds are too hard to explain and could be censored by Amazon! Wile E. Coyote will be able to catch the bird or will not be able to catch the bird remains one of the deepest mystery unsolved by the most brilliants minds:-)
In "Gold paw", Scooby-Doo is wearing a US Army uniform at the end of the episode and singing a famous tune.
This episode is really funny just because the mystery of the affair is: someone wants TO LEAVE Fort Knox by any means, not TO ENTER and steal all the gold.
There is also the "Christmas" and "Valentine" days special episodes, or these bonus available on the three DVD. We even meet Mindy Cohn, the voice of Velma (Vera in French).
If you want to change your mind, to laugh out loud or even discover new extrascoobydooesque adventures with a little bit of Bip-Bip The Road Runner, do not hesite, this box set is yours.
