DVD Review: Why all the 5 stars? One is awesome but one is horrible!

I wanted to write a review, to mention that I don't understand why this is getting 5 stars!!!
Let me begin with commending one of the two features "The Star of Christmas". It is precious. Very well done, very entertaining, and it maintains that Christmas message and beyond! What I mean by that is it teaches many other wonderful values and morals. Not to steal, to love others by sharing the Greatest Message of Love with them which is the Story of Christ and of God's Love for us. It also teaches the Nativity Story and the part at the end with Mr Pinscher in the prison, I almost cry every time. What a precious wonderful DVD.
In all honesty, I usually avoid the Veggie Tales DVD's now. We have been given 8-9 different ones as gifts and without exception, every time they have ended up being banned from our video collection. I have researched the Veggie Tales History on wikpedia and found it very helpful in choosing Veggie Tales movies. The original creator had such a precious heart and vision for ministering the messages of the Bible to children, and then when the deal was signed on NBC for the television show, they made unauthorized changes by removing the "God" parts to make it marketable to all without offending any other religions. The original Creator fought this in dissapointment, went bankrupt, got bought out by secular big name, and now the Veggie Tales movies are way more rude, slapstick, watered down, and usually nothing to do with the Bible message. Very sad, anyhow, there are some before this that are classics... Star of Christmas is one of them and absolutely wonderful.
So - here's the review of the other feature on this set - The Toy that Saved Christmas. I find it to be horrid! The children wine and display very spoiled, ungrateful behavior so much (not just a touch of it) but to the point where they sing about it and there is a repetative tone of whining for the toy that they want (as the evil toy company markets to and encourages to their whining behavior). It is not a small example of whining and then we move on to the message, it is A LOT of horrible behavior that becomes contagious among the children of the town, and although eventually someone comes in with a message of character and change; BEWARE, it is after your child may have watched enough bad behavior to learn it and run around the house repeating it. Unfortunately, it was way too risky for us, and we didn't want to risk showing and teaching our children this to get a good message much later on in the movie.
On top of that (if this bothers Christian parents, and I totally respect that some it doesn't and some it does) the Toy that Saved Christmas, also incorporates the whole Santa thing and Santa Message. In our family (again a personal choice and not to pass judgment in any way) we don't do Santa or any holiday figure that takes away from the true meaning - Jesus. So between all the whining, and the Santa message (with the touch of character message built in) - we forbid our children to watch this one and only show the Star of Christmas.
I only wrote this too help other parents decide by having a more balanced section of reviews. If it was just the Star of Christmas I would have given it 5 stars (and maybe it's worth buying just to get that one feature) - but because of the other feature - Beware of that one - and I could only award this 1 stars in hopes that this 1 star review stands out and gets read :)
