This Dolly Parton Christmas movie is full of romance, comedy, tragedy (she dies in the beginning) and has a great ending. Parton, a country singer stuck in a dive in the middle of nowhere swerves to miss a deer on her way home from a gig and dies in the accident. Her entry to heaven is pre-empted until she can prove she is a "giving" person. She is sent back to earth to be a nanny for a family that no longer believes in Christmas. Sparks fly everywhere in this one.
Fun Christmas movie with some great comedy, wonderful Dolly Parton music and a great ending.

I absolutely love the older movies from the 80's! Unlike a lot of the newer movis and cartoons, they are family oriented, good humored, and memorable. "Unlikely Angel" starring Dolly Parton is one of thoes movies that everyone can kind of relate to in one way or another. My wife is on a HUGE Dolly kick... so this was a great gift for her. Do yourself a favor, if you haven't seen the show, don't watch the "trailer," which is essentially a 5 minute cliff-notes version of the show and pretty much eliminates the need to watch the movie.
