DVD Review: Tsubasa Vol 8 Funnest DVD

I have watched now 7 of the Tsubasa DVD series from Clamp and I must say all have been great. But The Vol 8 was the most amusing with the very first episode having our heroes enter a world of old fashioned animation. With Mokona being in control of both the world created and our brave heroes. I have been thrilled with this series and the characters have become fast familiar to me. Great series to share with others too. DVD Review: Tsubasa

I'm so glad they kept this one going. I really like it. Parts of it drag but overall, good anime. Its got some of my favorite voice actors in it too, so thats a plus.
Description of Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, Vol. 8 - A Tragic Illusion
The journey continues....Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE is a classic hero epic of love and sacrifice. Princess Sakura's memories have been scattered across time and space and Syaoran volunteers to retrieve them. His devotion to her is so strong that he is willing to give up Sakura's memory of her love for him in order to complete his quest and make her whole again. Syaoran is joined by two brave warriors who make sacrifices of their own to accompany him and Sakura on their quest. Legendary artists CLAMP take animated entertainment to a higher class with this beautifully mastered epic story and style.
As Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle continues, Sakura and Syaoran help to resolve the ancient war between the Ashura and Yasha clans in the Country of Shara. King Ashura (a woman, despite the title), calls in Dimensional Witch Yuko, who influences the conclusion of the dispute. But the struggle has little sense of urgency, despite some striking backgrounds and special effects; more interesting and potentially significant developments occur elsewhere. Fei Wang reveals he is a descendant of Clow Reed, the sorcerer who created enchanted deck in Cardcaptor Sakura. He's seeking to control a mysterious power hidden within the ruins Syaoran was excavating in the first episodes. Opposing Fei Wang is Yuko, whose powers exceed his; she moves Sakura, Syaoran, Fai, and Kurogane to worlds beyond his reach. The key to their power struggle may not be Princess Sakura and her magical feathers, but Syaoran, who apparently exists in another form in another dimension.
