DVD Review: EXCELLENT Film, Excluding Diana Ross Who Was AWFUL..

A very delightful spin from the original WIZARD OF OZ's. The cast was a treat excluding Diana Ross, who was AWFUL. How in the hell do you cast a non-talented middle age woman as "Dorothy". I mean come on, casting Stephanie Mills would have made the film PERFECT. Ross could not deliver the songs & her nappy hair was a TURN OFF. Just goes to show, it's not what you know but who you know.......DVD Review: Awesome Movie!!

I purchased this movie for my 4-year old daughter. She is absolutely entralled with anything related to Michael Jackson and absolutely loves this movie. She saw the original version of the The Wizard of Oz but commented to me that it did not have the colors and Michael Jackson in it, so even though she liked it, it wasn't as good as The Wiz. She has already memorized the songs. Even my older kids (15 and 16 year old) were impressed.DVD Review: Enjoyable!!

I really enjoyed this movie. It is a little dated with the special effects but the the peformances of Micheal Jackson and Diana Ross are great! I miss Micheal Jackson so much and it was a real pleasure seeing him peform in an acting role is a rare treat. DVD Review: One of the best!!

The movie is done very well - with all of the colors they use, one would expect colors to bleed and not be clear but the picture is very sharp. The only reason I could not give five stars is that the CD does not include the Lion's song - it is my favorite.DVD Review: Not so great

The movie is a fun take on the Wizard of Oz with entertaining songs and dances and creative sets. I didn't care for Ross's singing, which often consisted of nonstop belting. I also didn't care for the costumes that showed butt cheek.
