DVD Review: What the????
Summary: 4 Stars
The only reason why you'll want to see this film is due to the cast being all little people. The few songs in it are good. However, the story line and acting are not the best. Parts of it are comical, and others are dramatic. The bad guy was probably the most realistic (acting) of the lot. The story timing drags...some times. All in all this movie is cute, has it's moments, but is really not the greatest western film. It's not B-rated, but it's not classical either. If it weren't made with little people I doubt it would have made it onto DVD. However, this film gives more of a positive view of little people actually depicting them as humans. What I meant by that last sentence is that in most films little people are depicted as creatures. They are always playing elves, demons, monsters, fairies, and other strange beings. However, in this film they are shown as not being magical or mystical, but instead REAL PEOPLE. That is something that even in todays culture is hard to find. This is why I gave the film as many stars as I did. It was wonderful to see little people just playing real people, and a variety of people..not just side-kicks, or comic relief. We should make more little people films where they play normal people...no more mystical/magical crap.
