DVD Review: A great comedy 3-pack!

When your hanging out with your buds one night, there are many choices for that nagging question "what movie should we watch?" I could name a few almost right off the bat, and 'And Now For Something Completely Different' and 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' would probabaly be first.
First, I'll talk about 'And Now For Something Completely Different'. This film is a collection of Monty Python's best sketches from their TV series. Of the four 'main' Monty Python films, this one seems to be the most forgotten. I can't understand why this is the 'Lost' M.P. film, I think it's just as good as the other three (The Holy Grail, Life of Brian, The Meaning of Life). It shows off the Python's strange brand of random humor quite well. Some of the sketches in it are just hilarious and will have you repeating them to your friends over and over, most notably the legendary 'Dead Parrot', 'How Not to be Seen', 'Blackmail', 'The Lumberjack Song', 'A Dirty Fork', and plenty more to satisfy. You won't forget this film.
Next comes 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail'. Probably the most notable Monty Python film, The Holy Grail takes a step that is completely different from 'And Now...'. It is a loose telling of King Arthur's famed Grail hunt while teaming up with nights Galahad, Bedevere, Lancelot, Robin, and Not-Appearing-in-this-Film (sort of). The humor is crisp and fresh and plays perfectly even today, except for the mono soundtrack "in glorious old-fashioned mono!". This movie is a true classic that I'm sure you will enjoy.
I acctualy have no idea what 'The Adventures of Baron Munchausen' is, but I hear a few of the six Python members participated in it. It's probably worth it to check it out, though.
All in all, this is a great box set to get just because of 'The Holy Grail' and 'And Now For Something Completely Different'. For only about 20 bucks, this is a great deal you won't want to miss (you can't find 'And Now For Something Completely Different' practically anywhere for less than $20 by itself). I highly recommend it to people who love Monty Python, or someone who just wants to have a good time laughing it up with their buds.
