DVD Reviews of The Moment After - DVDDVD Review: Timely Summary: 5 StarsThis DVD was very well done and it's message was very timely. I also bought the sequal. Very good!!
DVD Review: Let your light shine before men... Summary: 4 StarsI love this series. It delivers a great story line and still gets the message of Christ across without seeming too preachy. It is difficult to do a series like this and make it good. It's easy to get too preachy but this balances great characters with the Word of God. I love the friendship between David and Kevin, they are dedicated in their friendship but are torn between two sides. Oh and then there is Jacob Krause. It's interesting to see Brad play this character after playing the psychopath in SIX. Seeing how Brad played his character is what I believe Christians should act. Open, honest, dependant on God, trusting on God, and delivering His Word to the lost people and knowing this is not about us, His plan is so bigger than any of us. Bravo to them for this movie.
I HAVE BOTH MOVIES BUT....
WHEN WILL THEIR BE A THIRD!
DVD Review: save your money Summary: 1 StarsI try and get scripture based movies but this one preys on people like me. The plot is slow to develop and the acting is poor as well as sound and lighting. Save your money
DVD Review: I've seen better Summary: 3 StarsThis film was okay. My main complaint was that it was inaccurate.
List of inaccuracies:
Where is the Antichrist? Without him, the tribulation can't start. Not so in this film.
The "B-Chip". It is supposed to represent the mark of the beast in this film. But it can't be the mark of the beast without the antichrist. It is also not externally visible.
Where is all the chaos after the rapture? People should be going crazy! Instead, people are just like "Oh, man. My loved ones vanished. Oh well, back to work."
Overall, if you are looking for a film that will help you understand the end times, STAY AWAY FROM THIS FILM! Other than that, I must say that the plot was pretty good, the acting was okay, and if this film was not to based on future events (Some may doubt it was due to the inaccuracies), it would make for a pretty realistic sci-fi film. The fact that this film was low budget meant that they couldn't put in many decent special effects, which makes it seem more realistic if you ask me. The sequel to this film was much better though. The Moment After 2: The Awakening
DVD Review: A Good End Times Movie! Summary: 4 StarsThis is a movie that is worth seeing that brings it point of what happens when the Rapture takes place, and why those who are left behind. Its more down to earth without alot of dramatics like the other end times movies. Well worth watching.
Description of The Moment After - DVDIn the twinkling of an eye, a mass disappearance has occurred. Moments after the turmoil and confusion, the FBI is called in to investigate and locate the missing persons. For Agent Adam Riley (David White), it is personal. For Agent Charles Baker (Kevin Downes), it doesn't matter, it's just a job. Before long the investigation turns toward a mysterious man (Brad Heller) who seems to be raising up a para-military organization. Does this man hold the key to the truth to which the world is searching? If you seek, you shall find. the truth is out there. It can be found in this dramatic interpretation of the Book of Revelation and the prophecies of Daniel. This powerful evangelistic suspense thriller will keep you at the edge of your seat. Don't miss it! Winner - Best Evanglistic Film - 2002 Crown Awards "This is probably the best End Time movie made to date. Although I enjoyed films like 'Megiddo' and 'Left Behind', 'The Moment After' completely blew me away. Made on a small budget and this is evident throughout the film, but I felt like it adds to the reality of the film. No Hollywood candy coating this film is a real gem in a void of quality Christian films. An excellent message throughout along with a brilliant storyline make this a must have for any follower or fan of the Christian film industry."
