DVD Review: A Good Addition to the Library
Summary: 4 Stars
The Century of Warfare is a solid addition to a the military video library. It contains a vast amount of footage not shown in The World at War or the BBC History of WWII. There are some small clips which are repeated but these act as splices and are less than.ooo1 % of the total content.It is 24 x 50 min episodes. It is a British production that has background classical music to 90 % the narration time. Do not be scared off by that.
Strengths:
Superior coverage of Japanese Imperialism in the Pacific War, Desert War of WW II, Good overview of the Middle East Conflict, 7 hrs on WW I.
Weaknesses - Inferior coverage of the Western European Campaigns and Occupations
