Just because you say "evidence" over and over doesn't make your assertions any more legitimate. I was hoping for more; I had to settle with 71 minutes of nothingness. Where are the balanced reports? All we seem to get is one extreme or the other.

Showed "The Case for Christ" video to class as a follow up to the video "The God Who Wasn't There." Lee Strobel answers each of the objections of the agnostics and atheists in the Richard Carrier's etal video. His presentation is truthful, accurate and honerable.

This had such an impact on me I shared this with my retired Pastor and his wife. We watched it together, my second time. I then ordered copies sent to two of my Jewish friends! As a favor to me, they both watched it. I planted the seed and perhaps one day that seed will blossom.

This is a story of one journalist's (Lee Strobel) journey through what he'd considered to be the mythology of Christ. It takes him researching the Gospels to find the validity behind the story of Christ. He does it systematically, as you can suppose from a twenty plus year career as a journalist. It delves into why he began this journey explaining his home life, his wife's acceptance of the Lord in her own life and the negative impact that had on him at the outset.

His research, comprehensive and riveting, takes him from complete atheist, antagonistic to the Bible, to fellow believer.

Absolutely worth the purchase for a follower of Christ, for an atheist, for a beginner in His Word!

DVD Review: Repels critical thought.
Summary: 1 Stars

Loud, quippy, hurried, soundbite-type journalistic expose where a Chicago Tribune writer draws you along using (exclusively) Christian scholars and it-happened-once-so-why-not type, quick dismissals of his atheistic objections to the Bible, so as to shove you along toward his conclusion. I couldn't watch this. I had just finished watching "From Jesus to Christ" by PBS. They interview the real scholars at the leading edge of New Testament analysis and 1st-century thought: Michael White, Elaine Pagels, Paula Fredricksen. And the narrative asks questions as though it really wants answers. If you want to see a man exuberantly kicking off his atheism like a pair of old slippers, watch this. If you enjoy care, detail, and rigor in your historical analyses, keep looking. I was screaming at the screen for logic.

Truth is Truth. If you're on the fence with the question of who Jesus Christ is, this presentation can help. Was Jesus Christ the Old Testament prophesized Messiah? Was he the Son of God? If you're looking for the Truth, Lee Strobel lays down a very good case here. I found it to be very helpfull when looking for the Truth. Nice job Lee.
