DVD Review: EXCELLENT INSTRUCTIONAL MASSAGE DVD. EASY ON THE EYES

For students of massage or those interested in simply learning the techniques for home use, this classic DVD remains an essential purchase. Inkeles has obviously perfected the art of teaching this sensual skill and the instructions are both clear and quite easy to understand. In fact, you can use the DVD to learn massage anywhere on the body, going stroke by stroke.
A brief summary of the highlights: The head massage section features very delicate fingertip face and neck strokes coupled with precisely illustrated neck relaxation techniques. The Arms introduce a long circulation stroke, a variation of which occurs on the legs and both full and hand fingertip kneading strokes. The hands show fingertip massage techniques, which also work on the feet. The Chest shows how to lift the body and how to knead larger muscle groups. Special circular strokes for the abdomen are included. The Front of the Legs feature a long circulation stroke the flows from the ankles to the hips. The Feet show tiny strokes for the toes as well as deep pressure techniques for the tough soles. The Back of the Legs show kneading strokes for the thighs and calves, with suggestions on how to work around bony knees. Finally, the Back features very relaxing looking long circulation strokes, deep friction techniques.
All instructions are matched to live footage making it easy to follow. Nothing is rushed and the narration simply amplifies on what is shown on screen. This makes the DVD easy to follow.
You can see the models relaxing under the massage and truly enjoying the experience. The models shown are doing real massage, not "pretending."
The DVD also includes a short section of interesting social commentary on the various attitudes toward touch in our society, which can force massage into rigid categories. The answer proposed here is simply doing a massage and bringing the force of this wonderful experience into your life.
I particularly liked the lovely presentation and the undeniable fact that the people in the film were so obviously enjoying themselves. If you want to learn sensual massage, get this DVD.
