DVD Review: Why wasn't this taught in school?
Summary: 5 Stars
I'm not a 5-star type of reviewer. I hate the fact that most reviews tend to be a 5 star, or a 1 star. Generally speaking, the plethora of 5-star/1-star reviews shows a major bias and flawed review. Yet, after watching all 10 discs, I cannot help but give this a 5-star review. This is a 5-star product, that's why David Barton has made this a 10-DVD set. It literally takes that many DVD's to back track far enough, to compensate for the poor and factually bankrupt education students receive in regards to history. You cannot argue with David Barton. Why? Because he shows you the official documents that prove America's true Christian Heritage. With the rise of secularism in the United States, and myths that are now turned into firm beliefs, America's Christian Heritage is being wiped out of our history textbooks.
I realized after watching this, that I received a very biased education. Due to the misrepresentation and misunderstanding of the "wall of separation between church and state" our public school systems leave out almost all of our true American Heritage. This is not only seen in high schools, as a person who completed my Undergraduate degree less than 6-months ago, this is seen at the University level as well. For example, I was taught that the majority of our founding fathers were deists, with Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin potentially being atheists. Interestingly enough, the records of Congress show that Jefferson attended church at the U.S. Capitol building (yes it used to be a church) almost more than anyone! He was also the founder of the Virginia Bible Society. Franklin wrote numerous Prayer Proclamations and cited the Bible often.
Interestingly enough, the majority of public schools today teach a very biased and fallacious history. Regardless of your religion or lack of religion, it is a historical fact that America is a Christian nation, governed by Christian principles. Even better, is the fact that we ALL have the freedom of religion, or lack of religion, and the freedom to express our religion as provided for American Citizens in our First Amendment. However, day by day American's are losing their rights of religious expression due to misrepresentation of "separation of church and state," and because American's don't know our Nation's history, WE ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN! Regardless of your religion, or view of history, I encourage you to buy these DVD's to see for yourself the actual documents, and what our Founders said.
We have stooped low enough in our American education system to "teach" students fallacious history in order to leave out our Christian Heritage. If you don't agree with me, I'm not presenting opinion! 55 individuals were at the Constitutional Convention which formed our Constitution. Out of 55 at the Constitutional Convention, 52 of the 55 were members of Christian Orthodox Churches! I could go on and on. It's all presented in this DVD collection. Provided alongside of documentation from the Records of Congress and many other sources.
This DVD-collection is a must have, if you are looking for authentic history, provided with evidence for the claims.
