DVD Review: A Disney Masterpiece On DVD!
Summary: 5 Stars
"The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" is a Disney masterpiece. This film was one of Walt Disney's "package deals" which means that an entire feature is made using two or more short films which are combined into one film. In this case it is the stories of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows" and Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". This is a great film and is a must-have for all Disney fans but it would be a great addition to anyone's video library. However, one aspect to note is that if you are purchasing this DVD as a collector [of Disney, Sleepy Hollow, etc.] this is not technically a new DVD edition of the film. The slipcover [pictured above] is new and was released by the Disney company in October 2009. The DVD however is the original Gold edition DVD from October 2000. Yet, for anyone who does not already own this film I believe it is a must to have. Though it was released in 1949 it is as great today as it ever was. You will not be disappointed when you purchase this DVD!
