DVD Review: Stimulating Baseball Practices Teach Youth Players The Game!

My name is Marty Schupak and I am the creator of THE 59 MINUTE BASEBALL PRACTICE. I produced this video because when my oldest son played Little League, his coach ran practices consisting of 2 1/2 hours of just batting. After alot of investigation and observation of successful baseball coaches and programs, I developed my own practice program. This video consists of 35 easy to follow drills that your youth baseball team will enjoy. My motivation for developing a successful practice program was threefold:
1) Keep players interested and motivated.
2) Teach fundamental baseball skills and build from there.
3) Make practices such that players can't wait for the next one.
I have now coached Little League for 21 years and have run over 1,500 practices. This program has worked well for my players, my assistant coaches and myself. Practices should last no longer than 60-90 minutes. Anything longer is a waste or your are not being efficient. The basic model is a practice with 5-7 drills combining baseball skill building drills and fun drills. And make sure you end every practice on a high note. I see coaches who come out of the gate and practice everyday until the season starts then they do no practicing until the playoffs. Make no mistake.
YOU MUST PRACTICE! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS VIDEO UNLESS YOU INTEND TO PRACTICE! It doesn't work. The video will help you in endless ways with organized structure. Try having two practices for every game played. For instance, 40 practices for a 20 game season works well. Remember 7-12 year old kids learn baseball with efficient interesting practices reinforced throughout the season. This program works! Good luck and have a great baseball season!

This is a great product. Coaches and parents who think baseball is a sport that is growing extinct should watch this program. The drills give kids enthusiasm while teaching them valuable baseball skills. I coach an 11 & 12 year old team and over the course of a 20 game season I used most of the drills in this video.Our team improved on a number of skills thanks to the content. To be exact,the RELAY DRILL proved to be an incredible asset in at least 4 games which we threw out runners at home.
The bunting techniques are also valuable. Folks, this is the real deal for coaches and parents of 9,10,11 & 12 year old kids.
A SURE HOME RUN! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Yes! Your Little League team or any youth baseball team 7-12 years old will stand up and cheer the drills in this video. Practice does not have to be two hours of batting which my own coach did 45 years ago. All boring practices are gone with Marty Schupak's great video. Drills like THE CIRCLE DRILL, THE CONTIUATION DRILL, RAPID FIRE DRILL and more will keep your team interested. The concept of keeping as many players involved in every drill while teaching baseball skills is great. Forget those overpaid major leaguers who are taking the purity and fun out of the game. If you don't think that baseball is still our National pastime, grab THE 59 MINUTE BASEBALL PRACTICE!
