Blu-ray Review: Price escalation from $104.99 to $171.99 !!!

This is a terrible deal now! On 2/5/09, Amazon upped the price on this collection from $104.99 to $171.99. I had just discovered this item on 2/4/09, and was ready to order it today (2/5/09). Imagine my shock at this drastic increase. When I called the amazon 800 number, I talked to 3 CSRs and 2 Managers, all of whom were in the Phillipines---they had zero customer service friendliness, and 3 out of the 5 I could barely understand (their English was so badly broken)....I really am disgusted by this! At least Amazon should have on each listing the length of time that a sale is going to last. My problem was that I had to wait a day to make sure that I had not already bought Ghost Rider....now the price difference is 68 dollars more. If I were you: WAIT! Do not buy it at this price: even though it seems to be a good deal at $171.99, it sure was a MUCH BETTER DEAL at $104.99!!! EDIT 4/3/09: The price also went from $171.99 to $224.99 at the end of March, now it is back down to the much more reasonable $91.99 as of 3/31/09. What happened to other people who had their orders cancelled (when they ordered at the price of $104.99) is terrible. Unlike the stock market, Amazon shouldn't cancel orders and then tell the customer they can re-order the item at a substantially increased price...that is just flat wrong. And dealing with Amazon customer service is a whole difficult enterprise onto itself. Good luck to all and please order now while it is at a low price....God knows how long it will last.
