DVD Review: Worthwhile Exercise DVD Summary: 4 StarsAlthough I was looking for a more traditional Tai Chi forms instructional video, I was impressed with the effective way this video develops an effective exercise/unwind routine based on basic Tai Chi moves. I found the seated options especially interesting.
DVD Review: A remarkable and excellent DVD that can in fact teach you tai chi Summary: 5 StarsRamel Rones is a martial arts gold medalist and works as a consultant at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He is the author of best selling DVD Sunset Tai Chi and Sunrise Tai Chi. He also has co-authored numerous scientific publications and all of that means three things: First, Ramel Rones is a master of Tai Chi and Ramel Rones is highly skilled at teaching and communication. The third benefit of this DVD will be more fully described but for now consider Rones as a guide to achieving better health.
The production values on Sunset DVD are first rate. On Sunset DVD you will learn skills to revitalize yourself after being stressed or worn-out from the common fatigue of the box-step work dance. You know get up, go to work, go home, go to bed, get up, etc.
Ramel presents simplified Tai Chi patterns and drills to teach you the fundamentals of Tai Chi and to allow your body to return to a less stressed and being more energetic. I know it sounds like new age hooey, but in fact, there is really something more than sheer mysticism here. That's why Rones works with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and that's why he is sought after for scientific inquiries into the principles and applications of Tai Chi. Scientists have established that Tai Chi does a body and your mind good. The exercises presented can be done sitting or standing and are brief and truly relaxing.
Through these beginning exercises Ramel will guide you to use Tai Chi to increase your oxygen intake and to better health and you don't have to be ill to benefit from this remarkable teacher. You will not be disappointed with Sunset DVD.

I learned a lot from all of the technical information and the examples to explain the various ideas of Tai Chi.
