The man behind the camera, Josh Stewart (Filmer, Director, Producer, Editor and Skateboarding for over 20+ years) is a Tampa, Florida native, currently residing in the big apple. Static III is Joshs 8th video project following the Static Series, Prospects, Cigar City, Rising, 411s Tampa Pro 2002, and Adios One Step Beyond. Josh is also a freelance photographer and writer for various skate magazines whenever able. Primarily making the promotion of East coast skating and filming his first priority for 26 years, I cant see myself ever leaving the east coast because it personifies everything that skating is about to me. The only way I could ever see myself move out west is if I couldnt skate anymore The Static video series is a very unique production which quickly developed into a movement. In a time where skateboarding seemed threatened to get swallowed alive by pop-culture, the Static videos appeared to protect the foundations of real street-skating. Static II was one of the most widely distributed and watched independent films in skateboarding history. As a result, the Static name developed a strong following by skateboarders worldwide. Filmed primarily in New York, London, Miami and Paris, the new Static III film features skaters from all over the world including Londons Olly Todd, Houstons Nate Broussard, Miamis Danny Renaud, Paris Soy Panday, SFs Tony Manfre, and Floridas Pat Stiener. A lot of expectations have built up in the 2 years since STATIC II as seen in the new SLAP magazine online readers poll showing Static III beating out the big companies as one of the 2 most anticipated videos of 2007.
