DVD Reviews of South Park - The Complete Fourth Season

DVD Review: Another great season!
Summary: 5 Stars

The Fourth season was good! The episodes I like were: Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000, Timmy 2000, Cartman Joins Nambla, Do the Handicapped go to Hell?, Probably, The wacky molestation adventure and a very crappy Christmas.

Overall it's still a worthy addition.

The Tooth Fairy Tats 2000: Cartman makes two dollars from the tooth fairy and comes up with a scheme to make money for a Sega Dreamcast. He and the boys run up against organized crime and Ms. Carman gets concerned about the loss of teeth and has run out of money.

Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000: Cartman nails Token in the head with a rock and the government steps in an arrests him for a hate crime. He goes to jail and soon acts as a mule. The boys need him for a sled race against the girls. They set out to get him free.

Timmy 2000: There is a new student named Timmy. He disrupts class and is sent to the principle. Mr. Mackey has him tested for ADD and the fact his can only say Timmy says he is (never mind the fact he is retarded). He gets to skip homework so the rest of the kids decide they have the same thing. They all get prescribed Ritalin. Soon the parents are taking it too. Chef decides he has to save the day because the everybody is going to see a Phil Collins concert. A parallel story involves Timmy joining the Rock Band Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld. Skylar is back and has issues with the new direction of the band

Quintuplets 2000: The boys are dragged to Circus Chaville. They almost pass out when they see 9-year-old contorting quintuplets from Romania. While trying to set up their own circus, Kenny sets off on a journey to become a great singer and the quints and their grandmother decide to seek asylum. They end up in Stan's house. Now the plans for the circus are complete. But alas, the Romanian government protests ala Elian Gonzalez and we have Janet Reno leading an assault to recover the quints. At the same time Kenny sings his way to Romania and is asked to stay because of his beautiful voice.

Cartman Joins NAMBLA: Cartman feels he has matured more then his friends and decides he needs to find more mature friends. Where to search? The Internet of course! He makes contacts and each time he meets one, the FBI arrest them. A few more tries and he learns of an organization called NAMBLA and joins it. He also decides to become the poster child for it! Dr. Mephesto is also a member of NAMBLA!

Cherokee Hair Tampons: Kyle has a failing Kidney! Stan's mother suggests alternative medicine and they go meet Miss Information! She introduces them to Native Americans Cheech and Chong! Stan desperate to save his friend realizes it's not going to work and returns to western medicine for advice. He needs a transplant and the only one with the same blood type? CARTMAN!

Chef Goes Nanners: The flag of South Park is declared racist by Chef. This causes a great debate at school. Stan and Kyle defend the flag as historic while Wendy and Cartman declare it racist. Wendy starts having dreams about Cartman and Chef converts to Islam and changes his name. Look to Stan's face as Wendy decides to deal with her problem

Something You Can Do With Your Finger: Cartman decides to form a boy band called FingerBang to make 10 million dollars. Stan's father is against it and confesses his past as a former member of a boy band. A major problem happens. There are 4 members and everybody knows you have to have 5.

Do the Handicapped go to Hell?: Part one. Father Maxi's gives a sermon about Hell and all kids start going to Sunday school to avoid Hell. Kyle even decides to play it safe. Problems happen after concern for Timmy who can't confess his Sins since he can only say Timmy! Cartman decides to become a preacher in order to save the children. A side story involves Satan and his new boyfriend Chris. Saddam returns and causes problems as he tries to win Satan back.

Probably: Part two. Cartman and the children start building a church while Satan spends the night with Saddam. Satan decides to talk to God about his relationship problems while Saddam keeps killing Chris.

Fourth Grade: The boys move on to the 4th grade and are filled with remorse. They decide they have to time travel back and live happily in the 3rd grade again. The new teacher Ms. Choksondik can't handle the class and seeks out Mr. Garrison who is now living in cave on top of a mountain. Only he can know what to do and yet he has to decide if he is gay or not.

Trapper Keeper: Cartman has a new trapper keeper and brags about it to no end. A stranger appears on the bus and he tells a tale of doom where the trapper keeper must be destroyed. A side story involves Mr. Garrison teaching the kindergarten class. They have an election for class president and soon find themselves embroiled in a Florida like election problem

Helen Keller! The Musical: The 4th grade is doing a play on the miracle worker. They learn that the kindergarten class has a superior play. Cartman is the stage director and can't be out done. Timmy plays Helen Keller and gets a new friend gobbles.

Pip: In a version of Great Expectations narrated by an Englishman (Malcom McDowell), Pip gets a job at Haversham Estate and meets his love Estella who seems to only insult him. Pip becomes a gentleman and learns that Miss Haversham seeks to break his heart. Her plan involves robot monkeys and the geneses device.

Fat Camp: Ms. Choksondik has a class on dissecting Manatees. The children pay Kenny to eat some spleen. He soon gets a career eating anything and doing crazy things. Mrs. Cartman holds an intervention and sends Cartman to a fat camp. He returns 40 pounds lighter.

The Wacky Molestation Adventure: Cartman gets 4 tickets to the "Raging Pussies" and Kyle can't go. He argues with his parents and they say he can go if Cuba changes to a democracy. Kyle writes Castro and convinces him to change. Kyle still can't go. Cartman suggests turning in his parents for molestation. Soon all kids do the same. South Park soon descends in to anarchy where two rival camps set up. The Kindergartners with Stan and Kyle as leaders vs. the older kids with Cartman as the leader. A couple wanders into town and needs a cell phone and is sent on a couple quests to win the use of it.

A Very Crappy Christmas: Mr. Hankey doesn't appear. Christmas spirit is gone and people aren't shopping anymore. The Boys go looking for him and find he has a family which takes all his time now. In order to save Christmas the boys decide to make a movie to short film to restore the Christmas spirit. The movie they make; "The Spirit of Christmas"

There are commentaries but I haven't listened to them yet.
