DVD Review: Time to relax the action, literally!
Summary: 3 Stars
Oh man! This DVD compilation is a pretty sour follow-up on the Chaos & Shadow Sagas of Sonic X. The storyline involves Sonic & his friends seeking methods of returning home to their home planet while impeding the actions of their enemies once again. That is pretty much about it. Nothing very special in the storyline to escalate the level of danger beyond the level left by Chaos & Shadow the Hedgehog. The plot has slowed down significantly to focus on the relationships between characters & developing personality traits of the characters as well. This has been neglected from the start of the anime series, so it is a good thing to see this aspect of Sonic X in the storyline. The dialogue is more calmed & loose since the fear factor has exhausted itself from the confrontation with Shadow the Hedgehog.
The voice acting still remains great, especially since this DVD compilation focuses on the developing relationships between characters.
I would only let young children view this. Not recommended for anime fans since this is a big flop after a great run with Chaos & Shadow the Hedgehog.
