DVD Review: Great acting, but a lot of things were disappointing...
Summary: 3 Stars

Being fair, I figured I should sit through all of "Skeletons in the Closet" (since I already bought the DVD) and at least get a good story out of it. (After all, a movie about a teenage serial killer seemed scary and interesting) But the reality is, the movie was rushed, and I didn't find it scary at all. It seemed more like a drama about a boy who needed help more then anything. The film was way too depressing for me. Besides the great acting (By the entire cast, especially the boy who played Seth) I found little to like about this movie. I WANTED to like it, I really did. However, I felt cheated knowing that because of the cheap special effects, and somewhat of a let down type of story, this should have been Lifetime or HBO. Not on a DVD where you have to pay for it. It would have been great as a made-for-TV movie. As an indie film, it's a dud. Three stars for the acting alone.
