DVD Reviews of Signing Time Volume 6: My Favorite Things DVDDVD Review: One of my Favorites! Summary: 5 StarsThis is a DVD that teaches signs for your childs every day life, a tool to help you build your bond with your child. This is one of their firsts DVDs so if you didn't really like the quality of this one, trust me, and rent a different Signing Time DVD. Signing Time has opened up an Academy of certified Instructors, one may be in your neighborhood! You can go to classes, buy products at a discount, and some offer private lessons. I'm an Instructor through the Academy, this is a company I actually believe in. The message it gives, and the joy on parents faces when they are able to communicate with their children who are not yet able to get their point across. If you need help with products, or sign up for classes let me know

DVD Review: This is a great way to learn ASL with your child Summary: 5 StarsThis is a wonderful way to learn ASL with young children.
My 9 month old Granddaughter and I are learning together.
She is signing eat, more, milk and rain after watching
Volumes 1-6.
And, I am learning a beautiful new language.
Very entertaining video.
I have recommended this series to all my children and friends.
DVD Review: Good choice for expanding knowledge of ASL Summary: 4 StarsI wanted to continue teaching my (hearing) 17 month old granddaughter sign language. She knows more than 20 signs already using Baby Einstein's "First Signs" DVD, and "Talking Hands" DVD. She is now learning her colors, and names of food so this DVD of "Favorite Things" met my needs.
The Pros:
Nice mix of songs, live action, cartoon frog, and different age children signing and talking including Rachel's daughter, Leah, who is deaf. Rachel's use of color coding her fingers, and simple explanations of each sign is very helpful.
Cons:
While the 30 minutes run time on the DVD is perfect for showing during meal times, and snack times, I feel the cost is a little high compared to other educational DVDs. The number of signs covered on each DVD is not that many unless you include the ones used during songs etc. However, as long as my granddaughter continues to show an interest in learning sign language I will continue to purchase new DVDs.
DVD Review: She's great! Summary: 4 StarsI recentely bought two of her DVDs because they were highly recommended from his daycare, then i read all the reviews on this website and i was amazed how many good things they had to say about her DVDs. I would love my son to learn this beautiful language, so i decided to learn along with him. Well let me tell you that most everybody was correct, she's great!! and i love her songs, so we both sit and learn. I love the fact that real kids are doing the sign language, and i'm sure that my two year old loves to see that too. I would like to see more words added to it, but well it's great. I recommend this product/
DVD Review: Great followup Summary: 5 StarsMy grandson, who is now 21 months, absolutely loves his Signing Time DVD's. My daughter and son-in-law received the first three DVD's as a gift at their baby shower and have been signing to him since birth. It's such a wonderful way to communicate and enhance his verbal skills as well. The My Favorite Things DVD is just another great addition to the entire package.
