DVD Review: Pretty ride!

I really needed something different to watch while riding my stationary bike. I am not much of a morning person, but I love the early morning hours when the rest of the world is asleep-its a real peaceful time! I was getting on my bike,and watching the Futures, along with the commentary when I noticed my mornings were not feeling so peaceful anymore o_O
I ordered this in hopes of finding alternative TV at 4:30am! This definitley fits the bill, and makes for a nice ride. It took a bit of getting used to because when I first started watching, it seemed really slow. I was used to keeping pace with the ticker, but once you get used to it, you can keep a pretty good pace without feeling disjointed from the video. I also upped the resistance to make up for the speed, and this gave me a heck of a workout! I was cursing the teeny tiny thing they call a fan on my bike;)
The video isnt fluid-in a few spots it clicks ahead or stops all together, then moves to a different scene. Im not sure if the trail is too narrow in spots, or why this happens, but it isnt overly distracting after youve watched the video a few times.
I thought the beach would be my favoritest part of the ride, but enjoy the "jungle" much more. Reminds me in places of the trails to Clayton Beach in Bellingham!
The beach is beautiful, but you go thru a tourist spot with grass umbrellas and lawn chairs, and further down the sand you can see traffic on the hill side, but this works for me because by the time I hit the beach the music on my CD is really picking up pace and I just watch the waves and ride.
All together with the jungle and beach the ride is nearly 50 minutes long which actually goes by real quick...no really...its true lol! And this comes from someone whose not overly enthusiastic about exersize, but its good for my heart, and a slowing mid 40's metabolism ;) Better to exersize as a prevenative thingy, than exersize because I have to!
Despite a few small things, this video is great, and its a nice peaceful ride that kicked my butt (in a good way). Definitely recomend!
