DVD Review: Decent-looking knockoff.

Just got this (and Set 2) today. Having purchased both legitimate and bootleg anime before, I can tell you with 99.9% certanty that this is a bootleg. Still, for people wanting the entire show, this is a good option as Seasons 1-4 and the movies are out of print in the US now and Season 5 was never released to the US market.

I haven't actually watched any of it yet, but several others here say the quality is good and, from what I've seen, most bootlegs that go to enough trouble to make packages like this and such are fairly good in quality.

OK, this is your classic Hong Kong bootleg knock off ( do you really think the chinese are worried about piracy?)
Sure, there are copyright warnings all over the box but that just means that the bootleggers don't
want you re-encoding THEIR product for something like you tube!

On the plus side, you get all 5 seasons and the movies all in two sets. Do the world a favor
and buy the Japanese products and support Japanese Anime. The world would
be a darker place if Anime is lost because of piracy!
It may be well done, but it's still theft!

I ordered this because the American release version by DIC is horribly edited, altered and overpriced. 4 episodes for upwards of $30 is not a bargain. It does appear to be an import, possibly Chinese - this does not make it a bootleg. It is very nicely packaged, the two set boxes go together and the show looks exactly like it did in the 90s when I used to watch it. I felt it was the best bang for my buck and I am not disappointed.

Do your research first! I've heard many people complaining about the audio quality/bootleg aspect of this box set. But if you're a die hard Sailor Moon fan and only care about owning the episodes, despite the fact, then WHY spend more money than you have to? I just recieved the exact same box set from another website for half the price. And according to the people on here who bought theirs from here...we have the exact same thing! Only one of us got it at a much more reasonable price. Just a thought.
