This movie is awesome! Me, sister Teresa, cousin Alexa and cousin Diana all love this! Polly and the Pockets' song "Rock This Town," well, rocks! This story is well-written and fun! Here's a sneak-peek:
(Everyone is at the skating/dining rink; Team Beth are seen, as also are Team Pocket)
Polly: Lorelai, grab on! (Lorelai joins Team Pocket's skating line)
Announcer: Okay, everyone. Shoot the duck! (Everybody gets into the same postition by crouching and holding out one leg; Beth meets up with Lorelai)
Beth: I see you've been talking to "Little Miss Perfect." Have you dug up anything that will help you get rid of her?
Lorelai: Do you mind?
Beth: I do. I mind that this weekend is slipping by and Polly Pocket has yet to have her whole life shattered. I mind that I'm so close to all my dreams coming true... (Lorelai leaves) ..and yet still so far away. I mind that-- Um, how do you turn in this position? Lorelai? Lorelai! (Heading towards the wall as her two friends move out of the way) Aah! (Crashes) Ugh! (Strained): Apparently, not like that.
Announcer: Couples' skate, everyone. It's time for couples' skate. (Team Pocket leave the rink and go to their table)
Lorelai: Oh, I love this! I can't remember the last time I was on roller skates. Thanks for inviting me, Polly. This was a really nice surprise.
Polly: You're welcome. I thought it would be good to hang out like friends.
Lorelai: I want to be friends. It would really mean a lot to me. To your Father, too.
Shani: Maybe we should think strategy this afternoon. Beth's team already won one contest. She might be tough to beat.
Lea: We can handle her. (Polly's face brightens up)
Crissy: I know that look! Polly's having a major lightbulb moment!
Polly: Yes! I have the perfect plan for beating Beth! What does she love more than anything?
Lila: Seeing bad stuff happen to you?
Polly: Exactly. What if during the next contest, you guys got into a huge fight with me?
Shani: Like the total train wreck from last week's show? Beth would be all about that.
Polly: So all about it that she wouldn't concentrate on her own team and we could sneak ahead and win!
Lila: That's not just brilliant, that's super genius brilliant!
Girls (high-fiving each other): Yeah! All right!
Polly: What do you think, Lorelai?
Lorelai: I think it's a wonderful idea. It's exactly the sort of thing that could work. (Smiles)
