DVD Review: It's more like 17 babes and one anorexic wench

This is one of the cheesier offerings from Playboy, presented in a "day-the-life" style. The thing is, I've seen this done really effectively--some of the early Mystique DVD releases for example. But in this case it's so hokey and contrived that you'll find yourself fast-forwarding to the gratuitous shower scenes, of which there are many.
There are a lot of good-looking women here, some of them exceptional but most of them pretty average for this kind of fare. There are 18 models in two different segments. The DVD run time is lengthy. Only one of them is a real turn-off and that's this bulimic-looking Mexican girl.
If you're hoping for explicit nudity you'll be disappointed in this. There is some, but it is pretty fleeting. There are a couple of exceptions--seems that the Swedish and Dutch don't mind showing more.
So actually, this is an OK release and really rates more like three and a half stars. Not really worth buying at a premium price.
BTW, "Around the World" is a bit of a misnomer also...nearly all of the stop-offs are in Brazil, New York City, London and Stockholm.
