DVD Review: Playboy's first girl/girl video . . . and one of the best!

There have been numerous girl-girl scenes in Playboy videos, but this was the first episode (I believe) devoted entirely to the topic. And, girl, was it scrumptious!
There were seven breathtaking vignettes; five with a pair of babes, and two with girl-only threesomes.
For two of the segments, another woman acts as a catalyst to bring the pair of girlfriends together. (For two additional interludes, a man fills the same role - but he thankfully doesn't join in until the engagement is about to end.)
As you would expect from Playboy, the action isn't terribly explicit (in terms of sex). But this episode does have more kissing than you're likely to find even in later Playboy girl-only videos.
What makes this disc so pleasurable, though - is the tempting manner in which the girls undress. Special attention is paid to the areas above and below a woman's waist. And this issue doesn't shy away from sharing with us - each girl's most intimate view.
Five of the scenes are worth a brief mention:
The opening segment features two young women doing their laundry outdoors and washing their clothes by hand. They splash each other - and then do a slow striptease to free themselves of their wet clothes. Their relationship never turns romantic. But this is a nice break-the-ice scene for helping us to get comfortable viewing girls nude together.
The next vignette is probably one of the best spa/massage fantasy depictions I've ever enjoyed. Two friends, a blonde and brunette, visit an elegant spa - where the brunette receives a sensuous oil massage from a sexy Oriental masseuse. The blonde quickly takes the masseuse's place - unbeknownst to her friend - who doesn't catch on even after she's kneaded across her front and kissed.
The two friends retire elsewhere to further explore their new awakening - while the masseuse takes a turn giving us a sexy unveiling - with the two girlfriends returning at the very end to make it a lustful threesome.
In the most amorous pairing, two close friends baby-sit an aunt's house over a stormy weekend. The lightning draws the two friends quickly together in a reassuring embrace - where they begin to kiss romantically almost immediately. They end up undressing each other by candle light and then lying together on the floor. The scene ends with the girls sleeping peacefully - after their own passionate storm (unseen) has subsided.
In a silly tennis coach clich?, two cuties flirt with their hunky tennis pro - while teasingly hiking their skirts - or bending over to give him some enticing (rear) upskirt views. The girls shower - and keep warm by pressing their bodies together. They are joined at the end by the pro - who has waited like a real gentleman - for the women to conclude their cleansing.
The movie's finale is one of the longer - and more satisfying - segments. It features three friends who have a slumber party with martinis. The drinks inspire them to undress. (Hey, why not?) And there are some nice close-ups - you know where!
After freshening up, there's a fun second segment where the girls lie on the bed - and enjoy a nice round of strip poker - so what just came on comes off again!
The lack of explicitness makes this Playboy video excellent as a sexy prelude. It is also a great way to introduce your boyfriend (or close girlfriend) to the beauty of two (or more) women together. Enjoy.

It always amuses me to see the reviews for Playboy DVD/VHS offerings. Invariably, people complain that there aren't any "sex" scenes. The other funny thing is the obvious confusion surrounding the term "erotic."Put simply: If you expect sexual acts when you buy a Playboy DVD, you're being just as foolish as if you'd buy a chicken sandwich and complain that there wasn't enough beef in it.
Here's a clue: first of all, Playboy is not about explicit sex and never has been. Their recent efforts to get racier ARE an attempt to get more contemporary, but as soon as Playboy does porn, they are no longer Playboy but just another porn seller. Playboy was and is about the "Girl Next Door," not "The Whore Next Door." It's not about getting chicks to "do" guys, or each other, with Playboy. it's about seeing a "good" girl do "bad" things, but never SO naughty that she seems to be a slut.
Secondly, there is an important difference between "erotic" and what some people are using the word to mean, which seems to be "explicit sex."
"Erotic" has nothing necessarily to do with see people in the "act." Erotic could mean a casual conversation where nothing explicitly sexual is said but the subtext can be as racy as can be.
When people are complaining that a Playboy VHS/DVD isn't "erotic," often what they should be saying is that the Playboy offering wasn't explicit enough. And in that case, referring to what I wrote at the top of this positive review, simply this: Playboy doesn't do porn.
I'll say it again: If you expect sexual acts when you buy a Playboy DVD, you're being just as foolish as if you'd buy a chicken sandwich and complain that there wasn't enough beef in it.
To me, if I want porn i don't go looking for Playboy. As a matter of fact the biggest disappointment with Playboy DVDs is that the girls undress too quickly. There is no drawing out of the magic so that the moments of erotic tension are played out. Everything starts pretty much the same: sexy girls in great outfits; then they undress and do inane "model" "poses" and smile at the camera. Yawn. The fetish aspect of saying "Cheerleaders" or "College Girls" is in the role-playing of those kinds of girls. But getting naked 15 seconds after the scene starts does not prolong the role playing. Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT saying I don't like a naked girl as much as the next guy. What I AM saying is that there is no erotic power in girls just pulling their clothes off and smiling. Who cares!
DVD Review: PB: Girlfriends (not too bad)

Now, don't get me wrong. The three stars looks decieving. This DVD is pretty good. The women, for the most part, are gorgeous throughout most of the scenes. The scenes tend to become monotonous but it is still definitely sexy. A lot is suggested sexual innuendoes but it is erotic. If you are looking for some good quality this is for you, but if you want something a little more erotic this just doesn't cut the cake.DVD Review: Playboy takes it up a notch

Amazingly for Playboy, we get some decent softcore pornography on this disc, and it's pretty damn nice. A group of very attractive ladies (along with a few Playmates thrown into the mix) are put in only slightly ludicrous situations, which always end up with lots of fondling, kissing, and even some suggested oral sex. And the best part? These hot women actually appear to be having a good time and enjoying their mutual pleasuring. Highly recommended along with Freshman Class as two of Playboy Video's best stuff lately.
