DVD Reviews of One Tree Hill - The Complete Fifth Season (+ Digital Copy)DVD Review: a great series Summary: 4 StarsSince i`ve started watching One Tree Hill i must say wow, what a great series. Now..im a man and i never really watched a TV-drama series before. I ussually only watch action/thriller/comedy, but One Tree Hill really got to me. And it got to me in a way that no other series has ever done before. I`m glad i watched season 1-5 alone...couse i`ve been laughing, crying, yelling...etc. hehehe...*embaresd*. I`m a big fan of Luca and Payton and hope some day they`ll find togheter in peace and harmony in the series. they kinda get you on your nerves with all their drama. It`s allways something with them. But even tho they did get on my nerves, they still manage to make me sit and wait in exaitment for something to happen. In the end of season 4 i really tought they actually made it and that this was it...they are togheter and they nothing but distance between them this time. The Luca/Payton/Brook triangle is finaly getting closure!! and i was happy for aboute 5 minuttes until i started watching season 5. Everything was just a complete mess...they`ve jumped 4 years!! Luca and Payton was parted. Luca wanted to marry Payton, bus she wanted to wait and see. Luca took this very hard and went home were he started a relationship with Lindsey. Beutilfull woman!! but as a even bigger Payton fan i didn`t like it. (she must be one of the most beutifull and charismatic woman on TV). Season 5 felt more like a new beggining to me...a new era! Lots of the same never ending drama between. Everytime you think things is starting to go great with all these characters, somethings goes wrong!! But some of the old characters is almost gone and some new have taken over.
When all sayd and done i actually liked season 5...it had something very unexpected aboute it. But i really hope someday Luca and Payton really get togheter with a relationship that actually works. After 5 seasons with no luck, i think it`s aboute time!! I need some means to an end and allways hopeing for some good endings. Something tells me that One Tree Hill is far from over tho?! :)
DVD Review: New DVDs were not new Summary: 2 StarsMy DVDs said that they were new but they weren't and some of them were scratched and ruined. I was not happy with what I got because i was not able to see all of the episodes completely.
DVD Review: I LOVE ONE TREE HILL THE BEST SHOW EVER!! Summary: 5 StarsThis show has been good since it started. I was a little afraid season 5 was gonna be horrible considering it skipped 5 years. I've never seen a show do that! but it all worked out well! this season is great & one tree hill has all the drama they had when they first started the show! so I hope they have many seasons to go!! I vote for 10 seasons!! from the looks of it I think they may have at least 8 seasons. unless they have more ideas to keep the show going let's hope!!
DVD Review: awesom Summary: 5 Starsthis product was awesome, and it was very cheap if you go to the store and look for this its about 60 dollars, so im glad i found it on here!! if you love one tree hill i would reccomend buying them on here cheapest place to find them and in awesome condition as well!
DVD Review: Enoyed Watching this Show from beginning to end Summary: 5 StarsI purchased seasons 1-5 and will purchase season 6 when it's available. Love the show but was so behind on all the background that when I tried to watch it was hard to know about all that transpired before in the previous seasons. I am 40 and I guess it's a guilty pleasures since I think it was probably meant for a younger audience, but even at my age I enjoy the storylines. They are more mature than most of these series. It was also good to be able to see the whole season at once so that I didn't have to wait a week.
Description of One Tree Hill - The Complete Fifth Season (+ Digital Copy)Studio: Warner Home Video Release Date: 08/26/2008 Run time: 810 minutes Rating: Nr One Tree Hill: The Complete Fifth Season takes an unorthodox approach to advancing the popular television series by skipping over four years in the lives of the show's characters. The Scott brothers and their sundry friends from the small town of Tree Hill, North Carolina, were last seen in The Complete Fourth Season vowing to keep in touch after high-school graduation and remain the same people, even while some went off to college and others made different plans. The fifth season leaps over that transitional period, and we find everyone now in their early 20s, dealing with adult relationships, career moves, disasters, disappointments, and all the rest. For the first time in One Tree Hill, the actors actually look close to the age of their characters, and that makes for an even more sophisticated show. Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray), following a well-received first novel, is facing writer's block on his second effort. But he fills his days as the new head coach of his old high-school basketball team, the Ravens, aided by his old pal, Skills (Antwon Tanner). Meanwhile, Lucas' brother, Nathan (James Lafferty), is lost in a dark hole of despair after losing his dream of signing with an NBA team. Barely able to move his legs, Nathan is almost crippled in a bar fight and spends his days and nights boozing and raging around while wife Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and young son Jamie (Jackson Brundage) try to survive his emotional torrents. Lucas is no longer with Peyton (Hilarie Burton), the latter having moved to Los Angeles to become a disgruntled assistant's assistant in a music recording company. Brooke (Sophia Bush), however, has hit the jackpot in New York as the celebrity founder of a designer clothes empire that has made her wealthy yet not quite free of her domineering mother (Daphne Zuniga). Everyone ends up back in Tree Hill, looking for roots and a future that involves support from one another. Friendship matters, but it doesn't inoculate this bunch from the pain of Peyton's ongoing love for Lucas (who is romantically involved with his pretty editor), or Brooke's emptiness after briefly fostering a child who then must leave her, or Nathan's slow crawl back from misery. In true One Tree Hill fashion, the characters' collective challenges come together in a critical mass during the season finale, ending with a very unusual cliffhanger involving four cell phones. --Tom Keogh
