As soon as we got this dvd, my toddler wanted to see it. The potty song was very catchy and it held his interest for the entire time it was on. But, that was it. He may have been too young for it. He understands the concept of sitting on the potty but at 17 months, he's not quiet ready. Maybe we'll try it again when he's closer to 2.DVD Review: Thank you for this video

This video expands upon the popular children's book by the same name in two ways: there's a sing-along potty song and a 13-minute doctor's statement for parents. The director of child psychiatry at a prominent New York hospital will calmly reassure you that it's perfectly normal for Junior to be taking his sweet time letting go of the diapers, and that's worth a lot. And the animated retelling of Joshua's potty progress is good, too. But it's the "music video" of the oh-so-catchy "Potty Song" that makes this half-hour tape. And just in case you aren't already singing the song in line at the bank or the grocery store, the thoughtful producers have included a lyric sheet for you.
