DVD Review: Wanting the right things...
Summary: 5 Stars
This nooma was filmed on the beach with Rob's son. Rob talks about how his son wanted some stupid kiosk toy, when in fact he was planning all along to take him to a sporting good store to buy him a big "owange" kickball. And again, this couldn't come at a better time.
For the past week I have been praying for something...something in particular. It has consumed my thoughts as of late. [wow, that last sentence sounded like it was from a Jane Austin novel...anyway] and I keep telling myself not to get my hopes up. But it's too late, my hopes ARE up....I really want this. And I keep telling God that I want it.
But in my heart I have to prepare myself for a "no" answer. Even though it looks like the most amazing thing, I have to trust that God has something even more amazing across the street.
I can worry about tomorrow...it's my nature to worry. But I can also look behind me and see that my life has never gotten worse. In fact my life has always gotten better. I mean sure some events have happened which have been devastating and come out of nowhere, but each of those events I lived through and they have shaped me to who I am today.
So regardless of how I am praying, or what I am praying for... I know that God has a kickball for me. And I don't need "kickball eyes" or to pray "kickball prayers" part of being the child in the situation is not having all of the answers and not always knowing the outcome.
I am the sheep - he is the shepherd.
