I cannot believe amazon! This is a wonderful movie. Had it and broke it; i was going to buy from Amazon in July for under $30 and i look now and it is priced at over $100. WOW! Im not about to spend that kind of money on any movie. I searched and searched for this movie and it is either out of stock or over priced, they are saying it is rare and hard to find. Well guess what. It is re-releasing on 3/2/2010 when Panyo releases on DVD. I pre-ordered mine 5 minutes ago through WALMART for $23. Dont get ripped off! Hope this stops everybody from spending more than they should.DVD Review: love the film

I love this movie! SOOOOOOOOO amazing I love everything about it, includeing the voices, some people aomplain about, but I've never heard the other version so I'm cool! I love how it doesn't have a villan, and how the main characters, satsuki and mei arn't those brainyacts or those delinquents either. Their normal kids like they should be. Also I love how there is a sisterly love between the two that is not seen in any other show movie whatever! They obveusly love eachother it's nice to see. I love this movie. This is the best of Miyazaki movies. I want evey children to watch this. There is no gross scene sometimes his other movie shows. Our family loves this movie. Even though the "baby" of our family is turning ten, all of us still watch the movie together. Anybody with small children between the ages of 3 and 8 should get this one. My daughter and son watched this one almost daily for months on end. My daughter made drawings of the cat bus with all of us inside. It is one of the few movies I can sit down with them and watch and not be annoyed (I have a hard time sitting through many so-called children's movies because something or other will irritate me- like the sterotypes used, rudeness factor, too adult preoccupations with what villians should look like and behave.) The other movies we love are Spirited Away and Kiki's Devilery Service. Let you children watch this before they get too used to the hyper-active, sub-standard and crude fare they will be watching later one. This film lets them be little children rather than brainwashed consumers of animated "comercials" and kiddie sitcoms.
Description of My Neighbor Totoro (Full Screen Edition)
My Neighbor Totoro is that rare delight, a family film that appeals to children and adults alike. While their mother is in the hospital, 10-year-old Satsuki and 4-year-old Mei move into an old-fashioned house in the country with their professor father. At the foot of an enormous camphor tree, Mei discovers the nest of King Totoro, a giant forest spirit who resembles an enormous bunny rabbit. Mei and Satsuki learn that Totoro makes the trees grow, and when he flies over the countryside or roars in his thunderous voice, the winds blow. Totoro becomes the protector of the two sisters, watching over them when they wait for their father, and carrying them over the forests on an enchanted journey. When the children worry about their mother, Totoro sends them to visit her via a Catbus, a magical, multilegged creature with a grin the Cheshire Cat might envy.Unlike many cartoon children, Satsuki and Mei are neither smart-alecky nor cloyingly saccharine. They are credible kids: bright, energetic, silly, helpful, and occasionally impatient. Filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki makes the viewer believe the two sisters love each other in a way no American feature has ever achieved. My Neighbor Totoro is enormously popular in Japan, and some of the character merchandise has begun to appear in America. The film has also inspired a Japanese environmental group to buy a Totoro Forest preserve in the Saitama Prefecture, where Miyazaki's film is set. --Charles Solomon
