DVD Review: Adult topic aimed at kids. Be Aware. What's up with the ending?

I loved Nooma "Dust" so I bought this unseen for some teenagers at church. It deals with resentment and unforgiveness, which is good. However, Rob Bell misses the mark on this one at least in that there is no warning for parents and pastors that it deals directly with physical abuse, sexual abuse and what to do if one is in an abusive situation.
We two adults watching this felt like we were on a fast train not knowing if we would end up in a train wreck. Fortunately, the kids did OK with it. If you plan to show this, please preview and plan a pre-showing discussion with the kids and a post discussion. If you have kids that are being abused or working through abuse issues, you need to be certain that they are ready for the directness of the content. The potential was there to call up emotional trauma and you must know where the kids are in dealing with emotional issues and be ready to talk with them. The kids probably did better with the movie than the adults.
And the ending? They show a woman getting hit by a truck! It is at a distance, but is graphic, and in my opinion, is there for shock value. It is supposed to get the point across that you never know what will happen at any given minute so don't carry resentment in your heart. Even the kids all shouted, "That was just wrong!"
