DVD Reviews of Little People Big World - Season 1

DVD Review: Little People Big Lies.
Summary: 1 Stars

When I first started watching the first 2 seasons of the Roloff family I was enchanted with them. They were supposedly a nice Christian family. Well, was I mistaken. If you waste the time watching you will see how the Roloffs, bit by bit, start showing all their colors and eccentricities. During the first 2 seasons you see them always praying at meal time, always claiming to be so pure and loving. I soon learned it was all an act. Pay attention during the shows and you will soon notice how Matt and Amy are always attacking and underestimating each other. How the kids seems to have the run of the place. (Except for Molly...this girl is the only exception here) How Matt is always skimming behind Amy's back to get aways with his endless parade of infantile projects. Undermining the family finances countless times. Amy on the other hand shows very little respect for Matt as a man and father. Could it be that he is always behaving like an immature child? You decide. Over the years, you see how the fake praying over every meal eventually disappears completely. How the Roloffs, due to their constant obsessive self promotion and selfishness destroys many relationships they had with groups like the DAAA. Over the years it becomes obvious to people that the show is getting to be scripted and boring. The Roloffs try to spice it up with clearly staged season finales, like the one when Matt clearly faked a vertigo fainting fall. It was a fiasco. The ignorant public that actually cared for them was actually enraged when they realized that Matt and the family had staged the whole incident and kept out of site for months just to make people believe that he was dead. It back fire. People fell taken advantaged and a wave of countless complains and criticism started to stain their standing withing the TLC line up. On top of that, the National Enquire (I know, I know, However, they had plenty of proof) exposed their son, Jeremy Roloff, as a bigot and a homophobic. His Myspace page was full of insults and bad comments against Mexicans (He called them beaners), Gay people (he called then F..s), and he even made fun of their fans. Well, as a fan that was it for me. Then to add insult to injury, neither Jeremy, Matt... no one from the family ever apologize for those hateful comments.
If you ask me, Should I buy or rent this show my answer is... don't waste your time. If you are looking for honest little people try the "Little Couple" if you are looking for a good Christian family try 17 kids and counting. God Bless you and have a nice day.
