Was in good shape before pregnancy (long distance runner), this video is a great way to get back into shape. You can make it as hard or as easy as you like. Have the opportunity to change up each work out, add on to it, or make it as short as you like. The background is a little cheesy but its all about the workout right? The cool down is very short, I add extra to it on my own.
DVD Review: Love it! Summary: 5 StarsGot this video 3 weeks ago. Been doing it every other day like she said. My baby is 8 months old. The first week is cake (pilates) until the second week and I was pleasantly surprised it turned into kickboxing! I've added the ab exercises in the middle which is very short video. All you need is light weights. i bought 2 lbs and 5 lbs. You can do the video without using weights.
Ok I admit I can't do all the reps. I'm sweating and breathing heavily after 30 minutes. But I still LOST weight! I started at 130 lbs and I lost 5 lbs in 3 weeks. I have noticed more definition in my abs and i'm not getting thicker. I love that it is an overall workout, as opposed to just abs.
I like that you can customized your workouts and it's not the same dreary workout every day. Lindsay is positive and upbeat without being condescending or preachy. Even after 12 weeks I hope to do the video again and make all the reps, but I'm staying optimistic because I AM LOSING WEIGHT without doing it perfectly and I definitely miss some reps.
I absolutely recommend this video!
DVD Review: Love the variety Summary: 5 StarsI wanted a workout DVD that lasted more than 30 mins and a workout where if I did it more than 4 days in a row, I would not get irritated coz I would know exactly what comes next. Before pregnancy I was pretty active, 3-4 days of gym, running (participating in 10K races), skiing. So I was very eager to get back. I did not want to go back to the gym because of time constraints. That being said, I am happy I chose this DVD. I am able to pick and choose from a variety of core and interval sessions. Its just been a week, so no results yet. Also, since there are beginner, intermediete and advanced levels, I am sure this does not need to be restricted to post natal. It can be used aany time since its pretty challenging.
DVD Review: Great Workout Summary: 4 StarsAs others have commented the music is annoying and the scenery is a little dull, but usually I am working too hard to notice! The only thing I really do take issue with is the "yoga" cool down. It has absolutely nothing to do with yoga at all, so if that is a selling point for you, you will be disappointed. This is a strictly to the point fat burning workout for new mom's with little to no time, which as a mom of 3, was exactly what I needed.
DVD Review: boot camp kicked my booty Summary: 5 StarsI love this video by Lindsey Brin! She is easy to follow but keeps up the pace. This WILL make you sweat. I love that she doesn't make you feel like a loser for not being able to do some of the exercises (even though you just had a baby). You will not be disappointed if you decide to get this.
