I am a beginner, as this DVD states, it is for the beginner. Well not all, but most of the sets go so fast there is no way it keep up, yet it is amazing to watch these great dancers. The sets start off in an average pace and just go too fast to keep up, for the beginner at least. Some of the positions it was hard to tell where their feet were placed and some of the segments they just assume you already know what they're talking about. I give it 3 stars because this type of dance is amazing and Jean Butler is great. I recommend this for those with a little experience at least.DVD Review: good feet

I am a beginner adult Irish dancer. I've been dancing Scottish Highland for about 9 years. I've been trying to catch up with the more advanced Irish dancers in my group and was looking for some technique instruction. Jean is a very encouraging instructor and gives you some very basic movements up to more advanced movements. You can put your DVD player in slow motion to "get it", or you can just repeat it. At the beginning of her instruction there is a good warm-up routine. I first rented this from "Netflix" to see what it was like before I bought it.DVD Review: Read the Title
