DVD Review: Are you kidding me?

You are, aren't you? Of course there is concert footage on DVD of CCR. And I'm not talking bootlegs. The sound is a little sucky but still worth it. You can get the Royal Albert Hall concert, Oakland Arena concert, 2 songs from Woodstock and some rehearsal footage.
Just do an Amazon search and look for the DVD's! Sheesh!

DVD Review: Enjoyable documentary of this great rock n' roll band

As a long-time Creedence fan I am also suprised and a little disappointed there has never been a CCR concert released on video after all these years. This documentary might leave a lot to be desired for hardcore fans, but this is still a nice, informative, and interesting look at the music of this wonderful band.
Creedence bass player Stu Cook offers plenty of interesting commentary and stories that any fan will enjoy, and every studio album the band recorded is discussed in detail by various radio programmers and DJ's. Also included throughout are live television and concert clips of Creedence on stage.
There are plenty of DVD's available on other classic rock bands, but almost nothing is available on Creedence which makes this DVD a worthy purchase. Until a complete concert or a better documentary of the band is finally released to the public, I would recommend this DVD to any Creedence Clearwater Revival fan.

I must say I am truly impressed with the great efficiency of the shipping as well as the way my order was processed. There is however one thing that is of great displeasure to me and that has to do with the contents of the product itself. For all intents and purposes, these two DVDs (Inside Creedence Clearwater Revival and Music in Review) are nearly identical. Both DVDs are about Creedence Clearwater, granted, but except for an extra commentator on one DVD, these two are nearly the same and frankly, I find neither to be all that good. One DVD, even claimed we would see COMPLETE live performances of a small list of songs, which was unfortunately not true at all.DVD Review: Well...

Well...It was my mistake , I saw the one about Deep Purple from these guys. I was expecting a different type of story. However it tells you the story of CCR if you has no idea of them, but I would not pay this money for this piece of information again if this DVD got lost.

DVD Review: THE GREATEST ROCK BAND EVER ......

Being an absolutely huge Creedence fan since Proud Mary first came out (my all time fave song is still "Lodi"), I've longed to see something on DVD - it's unfortunate that this is the best there is - unless, like me, you go for the Brazil DVD that others have mentioned - and you also buy about 5 Ed Sullivan DVD's for their lip-synching singles, and a Hullabaloo DVD. It has been suggested many times that John Fogerty will still not allow any of the CCR stuff to come out (ever tried to buy the 4 songs they performed at Woodstock on CD or DVD - OK, I know, 'cos I bought it, that you can get it on the Woodstock CD Box Set but for about $100 !!!)as he feels the quality does not stand up - or, as some have also suggested, he's just still really mad at what he believed was backstabbing by his former band-mates (refer the plaegerising court case of "Old Man Down The Road" versus "Run Through The Jungle").
Still, this is certainly better than nothing - and I agree with the earlier remarks that Stu Cooks displays no malice toward Mr Fogerty (Mind - how could he with all the success that John Fogerty SINGLE HANDEDLY brought the band - and we all thought Ringo was the luckiest ever member of a successful band!!!!). Saw John Fogerty live at a concert here in Perth, Australia about 5 months ago and he still sings and plays as good as he did when I saw him (and the other 3 members of CCR)at the Albert Hall in 1970. I still give this 4 stars because of the scarcity of anything by Creedence on DVD - not because it's a particularly good offering.
We can all but hope that some vintage stuff (the 'Concert' or Woodstock ???) will eventually come out on DVD. Heaven knows we've waited long enough.
