I Love Lucy is finally coming out on DVD. This is the first time that we have the complete first season on DVD. This review will go over the features and shows one each disc. This is an amazing nine disc set with some mistakes, but none the less, will make you love Lucy all over again!I Love Lucy Season 1 Volume 1: What a way to start the show. This DVD kicks off the series with the first four shows ever filmed. Even though the first few's aire dates are mixed, this is the order in which they were filmed. These are the shows on this disc: Lucy tries to get into the act when Ricky's band auditions for TV in "The Lost I Love Lucy Pilot." This show was remade five shows later. This show never aired, but was shown to the CBS company. The set is not the actual apartment and quite flimsy. Fred and Ricky want to see a prize fight...but Lucy and Ethel have something else in mind in "The Girls Want To Go to a Night Club." Lucy tries to rekindle romance with Ricky in "Be A Pal." Lucy starves her and steams her way to size twelve in "The Diet. There are an array of bonus features on this disc. Including an episode from Lucy's radio show, "My Favorite Husband." Then there are humorous "flubs," Guest Cast Info, Special Footage, Series Original Opening, and a Behind The Scenes Audio Featurette. I Love Lucy Season 1 Volume 2: In this one, the very first I Love Lucy program to aire and a remake of the pilot are included along with an array of bonus features: A misunderstood conversation makes Lucy suspicious in "Lucy Thinks Ricky is Trying to Murderer Her." This was the very first I Love Lucy to aire, but fifth made. To win 1,000 dollars, Lucy pretends she was married to someone else in "The Quiz Show." Lucy clowns it up as Buffo the Clown in "The Audition." This one is a remake of the original pilot. Lucy and Ethel become interested in the supernatural in "The Seance" The bonus features on this disc include two of Lucy's "My Favorite Husband" radio episodes, "flubs," series original openings, special footage, guest cast info, and a Behind the Scenes Photo Gallery. I Love Lucy Season 1 Volume 3: Four More funny Lucy episodes in chornological order. Ricky throws his clothes all everywhere and Lucy proves "Men Are Messy." Lucy thinks Ricky has given her the ultimate gift in "The Fur Coat." Lucy disrupts a chorus line in "Lucy is Jealous of a Girl Singer." Lucy and Ethel are convinced their husbands are headed for the service in "Drafted!" I Love Lucy Season 1 Volume 4: Laugh yourself silly again in Volume 4! Lucy gets dancing lesson from Fred in "The Adagio." Lucy and Ricky perform a classic vaudeville routine in "The Benefit." Lucy gets more than she bargained for while babysitting in "The Amateur Hour." Matchmaking backfires for Lucy in "Lucy Plays Cupid." I Love Lucy Season 1 Volume 9: Finally, we've reached the end! Convinced Ricky is a genius, "Lucy Gets Ricky on the Radio." Lucy teaches Ricky a lesson in "Lucy's Schedule." Lucy gives Ricky hair treatments in "Ricky Thinks he's Getting Bald." Finally, Lucy convinces Ricky to demand more pay in "Ricky Asks for a Raise. Bonus features include series original opening, special footage, three "My Favorite Husband" radio shows, guest cast info, "flubs," production note, and a Behind the Scenes Photo Gallery." All of these DVDs fit in one big box. The only problem is the size of the set, 9 DVDs but other than that, it is perfect. The shows are compeltely restored to their original brilliance, there are interesting special footage and hilarious flubs. There are funny radio shows, and interesting photo galleries and documents. You will definitely fall in love with Lucy all over again. Please bring on Season 2 Paramount!!!
