DVD Review: Profiteering and Price Gouging by "Black and Read Books"

I originally wrote a negative review on this seller since they charged an inflated price for a DVD about Timothy Treadwell. I bought it on the assumption it was a 4 hour presentation instead of a one hour presentation and so did not initially think the price was so inflated. I posted a review warning others about this price gouging business. After I posted the review I was so surprised to receive an angry message from the business owner, one Daniel Grual, attempting to manipulate my review and rating, and in the process calling me "a throughly [sic]disreputable individual", and a person with "problems with reading and/or reading comprehension". I have been a Amazon customer for years and I resent the smart aleck tone and harassment I received from this seller, Black and Read Books, while they were trying to get me to change my rating. I would never, ever, buy anything from this seller, Black and Read Books. If you buy from this sell, by all means give them a good review or you too will likely be the target of Mr Daniel Grual's compulsive attention and ire.
Here are the emails they sent me, word for word:
" We have reviewed and are extremely disappointed in your recent negative SELLER FEEDBACK which effectively and unfairly blames the messenger for the message. More particularly your negative comments about the worth of the VHS tape may be relevant to the Customer Review Section of the rel event product detail page. It does not, however, in any way relate to the legitimate grounds for evaluating our performance as an Amazon Marketplace Seller. Was the DVD we shipped the Discovery Chanel edition (2003) of Grizzly Diaries as we claimed. [Yes] Was it shipped promptly in appropriate packaging. [Yes and at the requested expedited shipping speed] Did before leaving this critical rating you give us "every chance to resolve this issue first.". [No as you chose to made no contact with us before leaving this SELLER feedback.]
Even more absurd is the "too expensive' comment. If you didn't want to pay that much, don['t buy it. Our copy was competitively priced so why should we be penalized because you paid more than you could afford. If the real problem is simply value, see above.
Since your SELLER feedback was not made consistent with Amazon guidelines, and is grossly unfair, we are respectfully requesting it be promptly removed (since it cannot be amended). Instructions for how that may be done follow this e-mail. Because we hope you will be willingly remove this feedback, we will delay specifically responding to the feedback until Monday afternoon. If, however, if it is not removed by then, your failure to do so will be regarded as yet a further absence of good faith on your part.
Notwithstanding all of the foregoing, we still stand behind all sales. For that reason, since you are not happy with DVD received, it may still be returned. Upon receipt of a return of this nature in the same or similar condition as when it was received by you, we offer a full purchase price refund (less any postage due on the return). If the sole reason for your negative SELLER feedback was criticism of quality of the DVD''s content, then would not it have made sense to contact us and take advantage of this purchase price refund offer FIRST? To the extent you have misplaced our return address, it is as follow:

Finally, to the extent you take offense to the tone of anything in this e-mail, we are sorry. At the same time your SELLER feedback, unless removed, is a permanent black mark against our rating and in part jeopardizes our ability as a small independent Amazon Marketplace Seller to compete. We therefore are upset when we are criticized for reasons wholly unrelated to our performance and totally beyond our control. Respectfully, BLACK AND READ, INC.
We can't force you do the right thing, but the fact remains it is ENTIRELY YOUR OWN FAULT THAT YOU DIDN'T BOTHER TO READ the relevant product detail page. To then blame us for YOUR OWN FAILURE, which even now you won't or can't bring yourself to admit, show you to be entirely DISREPUTABLE INDIVIDUAL. Suffice to say that your business is no longer welcome. (We are sure you wouldn't do so intentionally, but given your demonstrated problems with reading and/or reading comprehension one can never be too sure.) BLACK AND READ.
