DVD Review: Tourism done cheaply

This video doesn't really show you the "real" Spain. It shows you Spain from the point of view of a tourist who is not going to five star hotels, but is trekking around the country cheaply. It is an interesting point of view, but I can't see it giving us a feel for what it is like to live in Spain. I'm sure the Spanish people don't spend their typical day doing one fiesta after another or going on a religious trek. They go to work. These videos show a lot of dancing.
The women who lead us around are cute. One seems English-Indian, the other a mix of Western and Oriental. They are easy to watch.
Unlike another reviewer on this website, I have no problem with Christina showing us the torture implements used in the Spanish Inquisition, and I admire her guts for showing a "dildo table" and even demonstrating it. Thank you, that is what freedom is all about, and that is what makes America and the West different from the barbaric states of Christian medieval Europe. Have the guts to defy the religious view of propriety. Never knuckle under to the Spanish Inquisition. I commend her for discussing the tortures of the Inquisition, and I think that we in America need this kind of reminder of just why our forefathers insisted on the separation of Church and State. It is a timely lesson today, when the religious loonies are preventing medical advances with stem cells. Religious fanaticism, wherever it rears its vicious and ignorant head, is to be put in its place. It is not to rule over us.
The bullfighting is just damn weird. It seems very sick to me. I can't see any joy in torturing one of God's creatures. I don't understand the appeal, but then again, I'm not the vicious type. I think the guy I work for would get a kick out of bullfighting. He's a competitive and vicious type. Why is bullfighting so popular in Spain? Macho nonsense, lots of injuries, and the torture of animals. What fun. I have a lot more respect for Mas Oyama, the karate master who fought bulls without using a weapon, just his fists, just had a punch-out with them. Now that guy was tough.
