DVD Review: Excellent movie, great acting and filming.

Faustina was so good, I watched it three times already. The actress makes St. Faustina come alive, and also her passion for Jesus. You feel like you are in Poland experiencing everything yourself.
The only poorly done part was at the beginning where she sees Jesus as a child. The burning tree looked like a piece of explosive was used, after this it is flawless.

Being a traditional Catholic homeschooling mother of young children who normally do not watch TV, I am pretty picky about the films that we watch, there really aren't a whole lot out there I would let them see. So I decided to try Faustina out of the new group of Catholic films by the same director. I loved it. Yes, it may not be perfectly accurate (I really don't know as I've never happened to read a biography on the Saint). But I think it's a beautiful, moving film that captures the essence of what it means to be a Catholic, a nun, and live a saintly life. It is uplifting, clean, and I had absolutely no issues in the way that any of the characters in the movie were portrayed, all seemed accurate to the faith and teachings of the Church. I would recommend it highly to any other Catholic, single or family. DVD Review: FAUSTINA
