I purchased the dvd for my 5 year old son who loves classical music. The content was above his level and there was not much in the way of actual music pieces being performed, but the information and content was very interesting on an adult level. The optional part of the specific musical compositions was also interesting, but didn't perform pieces of music individually. Overall this is a good 35 minutes for someone who wants to know about the artist, but not something I would watch over and over again.

Description of Famous Composers - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart came from a lineage of musicians and his extraordinary talent became apparent at an early age. As a child, he performed throughout Europe and began composing when he was eleven. Although he dedicated himself to several types of music and worked within the musical forms of his time, his mature music was nonetheless original and free. This insightful program uncovers his character and explores the obstacles he overcame in trying to establish himself as an independent artist during an age when musicians were seen as servants to the rich and powerful. Mozart?s years in Vienna (1781-91) were his most productive. There, he wrote his greatest masterpieces including operas Don Giovanni and The Magic Flute, the Jupiter Symphony, Quintet in G Minor, and his last great work, the Requiem, which he composed just before his death at the age of thirty-five. The program concludes with a brief of overview of Mozart?s work which is useful to experienced music lovers and newcomers alike.
