DVD Review: Not As Good As The Books

I didn't expect this movie to be as good as the book, and sadly I was right. It was difficult for me to enjoy the movie due to all the repeated yelling and over reacting going on. The animation itself stays very true to the books surpirsingly, which was nice. The story also stays very true to the books. If I were to recommend some Yaoi that I thought was a better movie, I'd have to recommend Kizuna... much, much better.

I liked this OVA for sure, but I was dissappointed that this was the only episode that they did, and they didn't even start at the begining of the series. It is funny though! I like the manga better because it has moe RyoxDee situations and more little facts. I watched it in Japanese before this, and it's kind of like Gravitation for me. The english voices are good, but I like trhe original Japanese ones best. I give it four stars not because I was really disappointed, but because they could have drawn it a little better. Ryo's eyes were kind of droopy....

Its an okay yaoi manga, but the books are so much better. Its really a shame that they have shortend the story down to only 60 min. and cencured many of the good moments from the book.

If you are very interested in the yaoi cartoons I would recommend you buy the books insted and if you absolutly want a yaoi cartoon buy Kizuna insted it is so much better.

Description of Fake

Meet Dee Laytner and his half-Japanese partner, Ryo McLane, a pair of detectives from New York. Not only are these two always chasing down criminals, but Dee can't stop himself from trying to chase down Ryo. While on a trip to England, the pair be-come involved in the local crime scene when Japanese Americans start turning up dead. Will Ryo be in danger?
