DVD Review: 2.5 yr old daughter enjoys it, but not as much as BIRDS of the same series
Summary: 4 Stars
This is a really high-quality series of shows that I keep coming back to for my 2.5 yr old daughter. Her favorite of the series is BIRDS, it seems to have the most action and cuts back frequently to the progress of a single duckling hatching. She gets very excited and points and usually tells me at least a few times throughout the rest of the day that "the baby duck came out of the egg!"
OCEAN is more general, and skips around more between different kinds of subjects like the history of ocean exploring, the development of SCUBA, that sort of thing. I find it interesting and older children would probably enjoy it even more, but I think my daughter just wants it to show more film of fish, dolphins, whales, etc. She'll tune in for her favorite action segments, then wander around and play while it shows the continents moving around or whatever she doesn't really get.
