DVD Reviews of Evidence: The Case for NASA UFOs

DVD Review: Invasion of the Mermaids From Sirius
Summary: 1 Stars

I will admit that this movie was good in showing evidence for the existence of UFOs and aliens (during the first half). I do believe that UFOs exist and that the government is hiding that fact from us, but the points David Sereda make in this movie that are completely ridiculous. David Sereda seems to be a very intelligent man and knows what he is talking about, but the conclusions that he reaches at the end of the documentary are absurd and unbelievable.

Throughout the movie, David Sereda shows videos that were taken by NASA during their live broadcasts that have alleged UFOs in them. Some of the videos are astounding and seem to be good evidence that "something" is going on that NASA does not want the American people to know about. David Sereda examines each video and gives very good evidence to suggest that the recordings are of UFOs. Later in the movie, he presents new scientific theories that explain how space travel would be possible, especially for an advanced race of extraterrestrials.

The problem with the documentary is that in the last half, David Sereda goes off the deep end with his ideas and theories. In one part of the documentary he examines what he calls "The Tether Incident." NASA Scientists are looking at a Tether that had broken off and floated out into space during an experiment, and while they are looking at it, many UFOs can be seen passing by the Tether. The UFOs look like "Dropa Stones" according to David Sereda, and in his opinion are alien spacecraft. He then offers several other explanations for what the UFOs may be according to NASA scientists and some other people. Their explanations anger him so much that he spends around ten to fifteen minutes dangling a key in front of a video camera outside what appears to be his garage. He bashes all of the people who disagree with his explanation of the video. "The Tether Incident" is a very intriguing video, but I do not necessarily believe that it is the definitive proof of the existence of aliens (what is in the video may not even be UFOs, it is not clear enough), nor does it provide even a pinch of evidence that he uses to come to his final conclusions.

Sereda spends the last third of this movie slowing "The Tether Incident" video down frame by frame, and blowing the image up which completely distorts the picture. He goes on to say that anyone can clearly see a spiraling center in the "Dropa Stone" shaped object, and that the spiraling center is some kind of "black hole" engine that can make the alien craft move faster than the speed of light. The evidence is not clear whatsoever. There are moments when watching the documentary where I seriously thought Sereda had to be joking. He takes the "evidence" even further by saying that since it is shaped like a "Dropa Stone," it must be connected to Dropa Stones. He explains what Dropa Stones are and the crazy theories behind them, and says that amphibious aliens from the Sirius system are coming to Earth in "water ball" spacecraft by the millions. He then connects that to Egypt where he begins to suggest that these aliens are half men-half fish (mermaids), and helped the Egyptians not only build the pyramids, but turn Egypt into a rich tropical paradise. He then suggests that since Moses was able to part the Red Sea in the Bible, he was an alien, and since Jesus performed miracles also related to water, that Jesus may have been an alien.

Evidence: The Case for NASA UFOs is one of the worst documentaries I have ever seen. If you are looking for an entertaining documentary related to UFOs and Aliens do not watch this movie. It is three hours of watching David Sereda in front of a chalk board lecturing. Honestly, because the last half of the movie was so insane, it would be impossible to believe a word that Sereda said throughout the first half of the movie. In order to believe it, one would have to go back and do all of the research themselves, and would defeat the purpose of watching Evidence: The Case for NASA UFOs in the first place.
