I remember watching this show back in the 70's and never missing an episode. While I had the worst crush on 'Johnny Gage', Roy was actually the medic I most wanted to be like. Dixie McCall was such a professional nurse. Always there for her patients. This show actually inspired me to go back to school and become an ED nurse and Paramedic. I loved the basis for the show and really appreciated how each episode had a message delivered without resorting to violence, sex or foul language. While EMS is not for everyone, this show really had something everyone could relate to. It not only delt with the professional lives, but the 'personal' lives of the characters as well. You felt like you were part of the shift each episode. And the patients had 'real' day to day situations which could happen to any of us. This is one series I can watch over and over.
