DVD Review: Great for meditation or tropical environment in your home

I love this DVD. It is beautiful filming and give you the feel of a day in Bora Bora. Lovely scenes and close-ups of vegitation, rain and sun, it takes you through a typical day. I use in in my yoga room to add a lovely environment on those winter rainy days in the US pacific northwest. It's like a mini vacation! Must have!

DVD Review: a 40 minute virtual vacation...

This is a great relaxation DVD. There's no narration, or annoying music. Just the sound of the wind, waves, & rain in dolby digital. The picture is crystal sharp, so all of the shots look great whether its a closeup of the rain falling on the plants, or a panoramic view of the shoreline. Also, the DVD has a number of photos you can use as wallpaper on your PC.

When I bought this DVD I was looking for something to give me a sense of the scenic beauty of the island. This DVD delivered, and then some! It explores the natural sights and sounds of Bora Bora and presents them in a way that seems almost like a "virtual vacation" to me. While watching this DVD I can imagine myself going down to the beach and letting all my cares go while enjoying the sound of the surf, the crystal clear water, the beautiful sand, and the lush vegetation. The wonderful footage of the gentle rain falling on the jungle plants and flowers is also a plus...not only is it visually stunning, it makes me want to curl up for a nap just thinking about it!

If you are looking for a guide to Tahiti, or a documentary on Tahitian life, or a study of the people, customs, and monetary system of Tahiti, then look elsewhere. If you are looking for the scenic beauty of Bora Bora, presented in a way that is both captivating and relaxing, this DVD is for you.

The video was not what I expected. I am planning a vacation to Bora Bora and was expecting to find an interesting, informative video that would provide an overview of the Island and highlight local attractions, things to do, etc. Instead, the video was boring and viewed the same stretch of beach, with waves rolling over and over. I finally just turned the video off. I would not recommend.
