DVD Review: E.T. - The Extra - Terrestrial (Widescreen Edition)
Summary: 5 Stars

E.T. - The Extra - Terrestrial (Widescreen Edition)

I had a Big thought on the Type of Alien that E.T. represents in this Movie finally? He's a Frog Alien! There is a Connection in the Film to the Scene where Elliot is in Science Middle-school Class, and He is about to be asked to discect the Frog!
The Classmates Administer the Sleeping Chemical to the Jar, and prepare! And, Elliot draws the Connection, and Calls to his Classmates to free the Frogs back to Nature, and their Ecological Freedom! Are Frog Aliens a California Alien Conspiracy in the 1980's?
Really, it seems that the Alien is only interested in the Botanical Ecology of America, and Earth in the Movie! So, I think the Filmmakers thought that this Idea for a Creature Space Alien would fit a Childhood Adventure! That was back in 1983 when the Film was released, and captured the Hearts and Childhood Dreams of Filmgoers!
A kinda Sci-fi Alien, for a Special Effect Children's Movie. The Aliens Ship is so perfect for a Childhood Fanatsy on an Alien and Boy! It's like a Christmas Tree Orniment! Really, Frog Aliens might come from some kinda Water Planet mostly!
So, watching the Movie on it's 2005 DVD release, is like a re-understanding with the Alien E.T. for Me! That He is a Type of Frog Alien, that may be the only "Be Good" Alien of his Spiecies in the Film! But belongs to a Sci-fi Concept of Aliens that may reach out to even Alienography! Even tough such Concepts might best be scene as Alien Life that has not reached Earth, but may be in Galaxy's Far, far away!

DVD Review: Classic - Wonderful Movie
Summary: 5 Stars

E.T. is such a great movie. Everyone knows this. I first saw it when I was really little, so I didn't truly appreciate how awesome it is. There are funny parts, and sad parts: overall a great family film.

DVD Review: ET's a Girl
Summary: 4 Stars

The new CGI ET is not as realistic as the original
ET found on the VHS edition. This new ET looks
like a 'computer generated image'. Whereas the
original ET looked like a real puppet. This is
important because there is a scene where ET hides
amongst puppets. So, get the original theatrical
version, if you can.

Also, with respect to what is better, widescreen
or full screen, that is difficult to say with
respect to this movie. For example, have you seen
those two famous Leonardo Da Vinci paintings?
'The Last Supper' is widescreen, whereas 'The
Mona Lisa' is full screen. So, if you are a people
person, and like watching soap operas, go with full
screen. But if you like panoramic scenery, as in
lots of action going on in a given frame, then go
with widescreen. ET has both closeups, and
panoramic "shots", like the one where you see Drew
Barrymore, ET, and "the mommy", doing different
things at the same time. And so, one of the
characters might be "lost" (out of view) in the
full screen movie. So, sadly, you have to decide,
action versus close-ups, which is better? Sports,
or soaps? That said, here is my review:

E.T. Two letters. Elliot. Six letters. (A rib was
taken from the man and made a woman. See, Genesis
2:22,KJV): E.T., from Elliot.

Another clue as to E.T.'s gender are the multi-coloured
M&m's (candy) that Elliot leaves upon the ground E.T.
walks on. He worships her. The candy is a contrast to
that "holy nail polish" of hers.

I was in prison and ye came to visit me...
See, Matthew 25:34-36, KJV. "They" chase her in the
woods, carrying flashlights, with keys hanging from
their belts. What does a prison look like when it is
invisible? The view is from the outside looking in, as
the hot vapour from the dishes Elliot is washing, rises.
She takes shelter in a tool shed, surrounded by cold,
sharp, foreign objects.

Naked and ye clothed me...One of the most touching scenes
is when she is in the closet, while the children sit
around her, and she lifts her head, up. High! Confident.
Proud. Safe. Accepted. Admired. Loved. They give her
shelter, from the storm. See, Isaiah 49:18, KJV.

Elliot and E.T.: What's the connection? It is as if they
are one flesh, or of the same substance. Man and wife, or
Mother with child? Boy-girl, or boy-woman? : They are
boy and wife.

Good-byes are painful. E.T. gets homesick. Her grey skin
frightens their mom. Elliot motions to his heart, and then
his lips: "Ouch!", he says...
E.T. PHONE HOME.

CAVEAT EMPTOR: Some profanity. M&m's, comes
in two varieties: chocolate, and chocolate-covered
peanut centre. Peanuts. The letter 't' is not silent. Elliot
eats too many peanu[t]s, his little sister contends. She
says, "peanu[t]s breath". This profanity ruins the movie,
for me: Hence, it is merely a rental, and not worthy of
a library. Another example of profanity used in this
movie is when an older boy says to Elliot, "Uranus..Get
it?" A boy urina[t]es with his private member. I don't
believe boys are soo stupid that they don't know where
NOT to put their private members. A male who would put
his private member in somebody's mouth (male or female)
is a sodomite. Remember the Y2K scare? YKK is a zipper
company. Some sins are worse than other sins. God
destroyed Onan because he ABUSED his wife, treating her
body like an object such as a kleenex: See, Genesis 38:10,
KJV. (Note: A man's seed is his child, not genetic
reproductive material referred to as "it".) Neither a
victim, nor a victimizer be. See, Romans 12:1, KJV.

Description of E.T. - The Extra-Terrestrial (Widescreen Edition)

A group of earth children help a stranded alien botanist return home. Studio: Uni Dist Corp. (mca) Release Date: 08/23/2005 Starring: Henry Thomas Robert Macnaughton Run time: 121 minutes Rating: Pg Director: Steven Spielberg
Steven Spielberg's 1982 hit about a stranded alien and his loving relationship with a fatherless boy (Henry Thomas) struck a chord with audiences everywhere, and it furthered Spielberg's reputation as a director of equally strong commercial sensibilities and classical leanings. Henry Thomas gives a strong, emotional performance as E.T.'s young friend, Robert MacNaughton and Drew Barrymore make a solid impression as his siblings, and Dee Wallace is lively as the kids' mother. The special effects almost look a bit quaint now with all the computer advancements that have occurred since, but they also have more heart behind them than a lot of what we see today. --Tom Keogh
